Company Overview:
Finatal is partnered with a dynamic, Private Equity-backed company in the digital/technology sector. Poised for significant growth, the company currently operates c. €20m and is expected to expand rapidly through both organic and inorganic growth.
The Role:
As CFO, you will serve as a critical partner to the CEO, shaping the company’s financial and operational future. You will lead the finance, IT, and controlling functions while steering M&A initiatives, enabling the company to scale efficiently and achieve its growth ambitions. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic decisions in a high-growth, PE-backed environment.
Key Areas of Focus:
M&A and PMI
- Manage assessment of potential acquisitions and due diligence activities with financial advisors, the Board and investors and support with post-acquisition integration and performance monitoring.
- Provide financial analysis of strategic fit of potential acquisitions within the business.
- Support with post-acquisition integration and performance monitoring.
Scalable Finance Infrastructure
- Establish the finance function, enact process improvement and optimisation, scaling the finance team while implementing internal controls and compliance.
- Prepare monthly Board packs with analysis to provide insights into performance trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Support commercial activities, optimise key partnerships, drive business performance through KPI analysis, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial results and identify new opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation of annual Group budgets, forecasts, and statutory accounts, manage all transactions and financial systems to support effective business growth.
Strategic Leadership
- As a senior executive and Board member, provide input regarding the financial implications of all major business decisions as well as strategic input in shaping the Company's business objectives and driving greater enterprise value.
- Assist in formulating the company’s future direction, annual corporate objectives and supporting tactical initiatives, beyond pure finance matters
- Develop financial business plans and forecasts, tax and FX hedging strategies.
- Regularly assess and report on performance against the annual budget and strategic business plans.
- Represent the company on all financial matters with financial institutions, investors auditors.
Exit and PE/VC Experience
- Lead or support successful exits, including IPOs or trade sales, with a focus on value creation.
- Demonstrate experience in PE or VC-backed businesses and investor management.
Key attributes:
- Proven Private Equity or financial sponsor experience, ideally with exit expertise.
- Knowledge of advertising/technology business models (SaaS experience advantageous).
- Fluent in English (Spanish and/or Dutch a plus).

This dynamic organisation is executing an ambitious international buy-and-build strategy and seeking an accomplished Group CEO to support the growth.
Key Responsibilities:
As Group CEO, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and refining operations. Your core responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership:
- Craft and execute a bold business strategy aimed at achieving aggressive growth targets through a blend of organic expansion and strategic bolt-on acquisitions.
- Set a clear vision for the company’s future, ensuring alignment with the private equity investors' goals and maximizing value creation.
Operations:
- Oversee and optimise multisite manufacturing operations, including automation and manual processes.
- Ensure operational excellence across all sites, driving efficiency, quality, and scalability.
M&A and Growth Strategy:
- Lead the charge on M&A activities, from identifying high-potential acquisition targets to integrating them seamlessly into the group.
- Build a robust pipeline of opportunities to fuel the company’s buy-and-build strategy, accelerating growth and market penetration.
Performance Culture:
- Foster a high-performance culture alongside building and developing a strong leadership team.
- Ensure tight financial control and reporting to meet the requirements of private equity stakeholders, optimising profitability and value creation.
Essential Requirements
Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken. Private Equity and sector alignment would be ideal.
