About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will assist in designing, developing, testing, and implementing electrical systems and components. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to support project goals, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and drafting of electrical systems, layouts, and schematics using CAD tools.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and specifications.
  • Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and project engineers.
  • Help ensure that designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Required skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering (internships or co-op experience preferred).
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a high proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, integrity, self-motivation, and passion for your work.

Who are you?

  • You thrive on solving complex challenges, bringing a mix of critical thinking and creativity to your work.
  • Passionate about renewable energy and committed to driving the transition to a low-carbon economy, you're eager to contribute to a mission-driven organisation.
  • You excel in dynamic, fast-growing environments and adapt quickly to change while maintaining a high standard of excellence.
  • A natural collaborator, you communicate clearly and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Your ability to navigate evolving priorities with focus and flexibility makes you a valuable asset in an ambitious and forward-thinking company.
