About The Role

We are looking for Linux Cloud Engineer in order to improve our ability to deliver reliable, cost-effective and modern solutions in cloud environments (e.g. Swisscom Cloud).

We need a specialist for: engineering our Linux cloud service and cloud infrastructure, drive process automation (ADO) to next level and look after our infrastructure systems, configuration and infrastructure management solutions (preferably Puppet).

You will be responsible to

• Lead and support the IaC development based on Swiss Re's Puppet infrastructure
• Design, develop, implement and enhance the Linux DevOps domain (Puppet, CMDB, LDAP)
• Focus on standardization and infrastructure automation
• Ensure that Linux blueprints comply with the requirements of IT governance
• Provide consultancy to internal customers on application onboarding and all relevant infrastructure topics
• Support L2 operation
• Technically lead and contribute to application and (mainly) infrastructure projects
• Support lifecycle projects (Puppet 8, Ubuntu, SLES, RHEL)
  
  

About The Team

Our team provides IT services to internal customers within Swiss Re. The GTS Infrastructure team consists of software developers, systems and information engineers. We provide high quality infrastructure services and ensure smooth operation of critical platforms and business solutions. We work in multi-functional, agile teams on delivering IT solutions in close collaboration with customers and platform owners.

About You

• Strong IaC knowledge (mainly Puppet and Ansible)
• Good Linux knowledge (SLES, Ubuntu, RHEL)
• Good understanding of general technical concepts like LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, networking
• Good scripting skills and profound knowledge of interfaces and protocols (Ruby, Java)

Role

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

The R&D has extensive know-how in new concepts such as network/RAN virtualization, programmable networks, network slicing, cell-free, Artificial Intelligence and is also active in the fast-growing IoT paradigm with a plethora of vertical use cases. IQU´s R&D offers well established experimentation tools in 5G and IoT. IQU is active in many EU funded research projects related to 5G, 6G Smart Grid and IoT in collaboration with big European vendors and operators.

IQU´s R&D department is looking for one Researcher in the framework of H2020 and Horizon Europe projects. The work focuses on the analytical evaluation of the proposed solutions as well as proof of concepts in inhouse experimentation platforms. The successful applicant should have a PhD or Master degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.

Tasks

The selected candidate will:

• Contribute software for cutting edge research projects related to 5G/6G Network and Service management, Zero Touch Networks, Data-Driven Communications using AI/ML, LLM and experimental validation.


• Be in contact and work with cutting-edge technology, validated at our in-house experimental 5G platforms.


• Work in challenging 5G/6G and IoT R&D projects and represent the company in project meetings and research initiatives.


• Represent IQU in exhibitions like Mobile World Congress Forum, IoT Solutions World Congress, Smart Cities Expo etc.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Position_1. Cloud or Software Engineer

• Experience with Linux server operating systems


• Familiar with cloud-native (Docker and container networking or Kubernetes) principles (and optionally K8s)

Benefits

Job Description

We are looking for a Medium Release Manager to join a dynamic technology team supporting complex software delivery environments for a major international client. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating release activities, ensuring CI/CD pipeline reliability, enforcing quality gates, and supporting Agile delivery across multiple teams. Implantar y configurar pipelines CI/CD con herramientas como Jenkins o GitHub Actions.
Automatizar despliegues de contenedores, dando soporte al equipo de desarrollo.
Administrar y monitorizar clústeres de Kubernetes (EKS, AKS).
Participar en el diseño de arquitecturas multi-cluster y despliegues de Landing Zones.
Aplicar medidas de seguridad cloud: gestión de identidades, redes, cifrado, claves, firewalls, etc.
Colaborar en la definición e implementación de procesos DevSecOps y buenas prácticas SDLC.

Requisitos
Experiencia mínima de 4 años como DevOps o en roles similares.
Conocimiento avanzado de Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS o Azure, GitHub/Git y Jenkins.
Capacidad para trabajar en entornos colaborativos con metodologías Agile.
Formación técnica en Ingeniería Informática, Telecomunicaciones o similar.
Nivel de inglés intermedio-alto (se valorará positivamente fluidez profesional).
Se valoran candidaturas preferiblemente de Madrid y Barcelona.

Se valorará experiencia en sectores regulados como banca o seguros.

¿Qué formación/habilidades necesitas?

Ingeniería o Grado Superior en Informática, Telecomunicaciones o similar.

Más de 5 años de experiencia

en roles de arquitectura de sistemas, infraestructura o soluciones, habiendo liderado proyectos de transformación tecnológica complejos.

Experiencia demostrable y práctica en el diseño e implementación de arquitecturas escalables, seguras y de alta disponibilidad

, tanto en entornos on-premise como en cloud (preferiblemente GCP, valorable AWS/Azure).

Experiencia en la gestión y optimización de

servicios críticos con disponibilidad 24x7

Conocimiento profundo de principios y herramientas DevSecOps

Experiencia en Ciberseguridad
