About The Job

• Solve difficult problems and build beautiful and intuitive features within a cross-functional team of technologists, designers, product owners and agile coaches
• Collaborate with a programming team of 2-4 to realise a creative vision throughout the development cycle
• Work closely with all other disciplines (Design, Product, etc.) to help everyone achieve their creative and project goals
• Build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, maintenance, and polish
• Ensure code quality and ensure good working practices are developed and maintained
• Work with the newest technologies and have the freedom to try out new things on a regular basis

• Mid Engineer you will join factorial with 40.000€ Base and 2.800€ Variable paid quarterly based on our business goals and after one year you will receive 10% of your salary as ESOP.

• Engineering Manager Interview (1h) After talk with our amazing Talent team you will be redirected to talk our Engineering Manager, this interview is focus on talk more about how growth product team works and your experience.
• Challenge (2h) We need to validate your knowledge and understand how you work before joining Factorial. The challenge is quite simple: we’ll start with a short description of a problem, and we’ll evaluate your skills to research it thoroughly and propose a solution. After that, we’ll get hands-on and you’ll start taking the first steps towards a technical solution. We will evaluate how you work so you can use any resources you like, just as if it were a real-life task.
• VP / CTO Interview (1h) Once you finish the challenge, we’ll do a final interview having the change to have a talk whit our Engineering VP our our CTO.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science or a directly related field, obtained by summer 2026, or equivalent work experience
• Some experience and familiarity with programming, either through side projects or classwork. We work mostly in Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go. We believe new programming languages can be learned if the fundamentals and general knowledge are present
• Experience from either previous internships or working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects (in a university or professional setting)

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €46,200 - €69,400. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
