WHO ARE WE?

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in the New Space sector, becoming the first satellite

telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.

In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a constellation of last generation nanosatellites, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.

YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Research Patent Engineer to join our R&D team. In this hybrid role, you will work at the intersection of research, development, and intellectual property, contributing both to the creation of novel technologies and the protection of our inventions.

In this hybrid role you will work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to identify patentable

inventions, perform prior art searches, support the drafting of patent applications, and assist in managing and monitoring our growing patent portfolio. This includes coordinating with external IP counsels, tracking filing deadlines, and supporting the strategic alignment of our IP assets with business and research goals.

Simultaneously, you will participate in the full lifecycle of national and European research and innovation projects, from early-stage conception and planning to hands-on execution, prototyping, and testing of technical solutions.

This is a unique opportunity for early-career professionals with a strong technical background and an interest in both innovation and intellectual property to develop in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the heart of cutting-edge technologies.

YOUR KEY RESPONSABILITIES

● Conduct prior art and patentability searches using relevant databases and tools.

● Assist in drafting patent applications and preparing invention disclosures.

● Coordinate with external IP counsel and patent attorneys during prosecution.

● Track deadlines and maintain accurate records related to the patent portfolio.

● Support IP strategy alignment with R&D and business objectives.

● Support the preparation of grant applications and research proposals.

● Develop, prototype, and test innovative technical solutions aligned with project goals.

● Prepare and contribute to technical documentation, reports, and project deliverables.

● Collaborate with internal teams and external partners across multidisciplinary domains.

REQUIREMENTS

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunication ,Electronics, Computer Engineering or a

related technical field.

● Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

● Passion for reading, researching, and understanding complex technical concepts.

● Ability to clearly document and communicate technical ideas.

● Interest in intellectual property, innovation processes, and technology strategy.

● Basic understanding of mobile communication networks, particularly LTE/5G architectures.

● Basic programming skills (e.g., Python or similar).

● Fluent in English, both written and spoken

NICE TO HAVE

● Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (e.g.Docker and Kubernetes) for application

deployment and orchestration.

● Practical experience in IoT development, including familiarity with embedded systems, sensor

integration, and communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, LoRa, NB-IoT).

● Familiarity with satellite communications and non-terrestrial networks.

Con raíces cartográficas y más de 20 años de experiencia en soluciones territoriales para grandes corporaciones e instituciones, Telespazio Ibérica es una empresa de referencia a nivel europeo en el sector de Nuevas Tecnologías aplicadas al Territorio. Telespazio Ibérica ofrece servicios que cubren el ciclo completo desde la generación del dato cartográfico con las últimas tecnologías, hasta el desarrollo de soluciones informáticas combinando Sistemas de Información Geográficos (SIG), telecomunicaciones y dispositivos móviles.

Telespazio Ibérica selecciona para su departamento de CARTO 2D analistas junior de imágenes satelitales para distintos proyectos europeos y nacionales con clientes de primer nivel (Comisión Europea, Agencia Europea de Medioambiente, Institutos Cartográficos, etc.).

La principal tarea será la generación de productos vectoriales y cartográficos en entorno QGis, ArcGIS, a partir de imágenes satélite, y las funciones a realizar serán:

- Digitalizado y etiquetado de datos procedentes de imágenes, con la ayuda de la documentación existente.

- Edición en entorno GIS (QGis, ArcGIS) de hojas de cartografía.

- Validación de datos de productos cartográficos.

Las vacantes ofertadas son para los turnos de mañana o tarde con jornada de 40 horas semanales. Se tendrá en cuenta la preferencia del turno de tarde.

Requisitos

Estudios mínimos: Formación Universitaria en Geología, Geografía, CC Ambientales o cualquier otra carrera relacionada con la Observación de la Tierra y experiencia de al menos 1 año en entornos de generación de productos vectoriales y cartográficos a partir de fotointerpretación para el caso de la posición de operador analista, y de al menos 3 meses en tareas relacionadas con la observación de la tierra para la posicione de operador analista junior.

Gran conocimiento y manejo de software GIS para las tareas de edición, consulta y análisis (ArcGis, QGis)

Experiencia mínima:

Al menos 6 meses en tareas relacionadas con la observación de la tierra

Imprescindible residente en:

Madrid / Barcelona

Requisitos mínimos:

• Imprescindible alto nivel de competencia en manejo de GIS a nivel consulta, edición y trabajo con tools (QGis, ArcGis)
• Nivel Ingles: B2 o superior

Requisitos deseados:

• Experiencia en fotointerpretación de imágenes satélite
• Experiencia en software de procesado de imágenes
• Experiencia trabajando con ArcGis Pro

Contrato:

Tipo de contrato: Temporal + posible incorporación en función de la destreza y compromiso mostrados.

Duración: 9 meses + indefinido.

Incorporación inmediata.

Jornada laboral: 40 horas semanales de lunes a viernes.

Horario: Turno de mañana (07:00 a 15:00) o de tarde (15:00 a 23:00). Se tendrá preferencia en la selección de candidatos a la posición del turno de tarde.

Salario según categoría de convenio para la posición de cada candidato en función de su valía
