We want to get on board an experienced DevOps Engineer (Cloud/Hybrid) in our Digital Services
Department within Customer Services.
Scope of Activity:
One key to advancing sustainable transportation is to digitally increase the capacity of rail systems
– with less resources. Railigent X is the suite of applications that enables rail operators,
maintainers, and asset owners to better understand data, analyze assets, and derive actions.
The job description is for a mid-level experienced DevOps Engineer with focus on Hybrid-Cloud
Kubernetes Infrastructure engineering who will be responsible for designing, implementing and
operating containerized multi-cloud/hybrid; cloud/on-premises runtime environments that support
Siemens Mobility Railigent X products and services.
The employee will work with an international team of experts from different fields to deliver a
global, powerful, scalable, cost-efficient, and highly available on-premises/ hybrid-cloud platform
that meets the changing needs of the business.
The DevOps engineer will be responsible for defining, planning, implementing, and operating
automated infrastructure deployments at scale, and will support application product development
teams to adapt their existing AWS cloud-based applications for the new hybrid-cloud platform.
The employee will create and maintain IaaS environments on premise as well as on Cloud PaaS
providers that meet service level agreements, support the resource requirements of the
development, QA, and customer value realization teams, enable CI/CD, meet compliance and best
practice standards, and ensure that they are well documented.
The engineer will participate in proof of concepts and first of its kind activities to validate product
concepts.
Applicant Profile:
- Experience supporting distributed business applications in an enterprise environment within an
- Proactive and dynamic problem solver with strong DevOps, cloud and hybrid-cloud experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with other colleagues and
- Ability to adapt and optimize processes for enhanced team productivity.
- Excellent English skills are required; good German skills could be of benefit.
- Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines, containerized services, and automating processes.
- Valued experience in Platform Engineering, especially in designing and building toolchains and
- Certifications on Kubernetes such as CKA and CKAD are highly valued.
- Demonstrated history with SaaS backends, REST APIs, and extensive cloud deployment.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- You have completed a university degree in computer science or in a comparable subject.
- Excellent knowledge of Containers, Kubernetes, CNCF, Linux, and Open-Source Ecosystem in
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) services.
- Hands-on experiences in using ELK stack.
- Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and GitLab.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and scripting languages (Bash / sh).
- Advanced understanding of designing and implementing GitOps processes.
- Experience in system automation for scalable environments.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and testing, preferably GitLab-CI.
- Identity and Access Management (Protocols: SAML V2, OIDC; IDPs: KeyCloak, Auth0, OKTA).
- MLOPS and LLMOPS experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript or GoLang.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team you will manage the SIEM security systems for one of our clients in order to keep computers, networks and data safe from cyber-attacks.
Your daily tasks will consist of:
- Support the operations of the customer security monitoring tools
- Be the first escalation point for any issues with the correlation rules
- Identify performance improvements for the SIEM capability, expert implementation and generation of SIEM content (e.g. rules, trends, lists, reports and dashboards)
- Tune the correlation rules to optimize the false positive and false negative performances
- Oversee of configuration changes related to correlation rules updates and log parsing definition
- Identify and assist in developing use cases for the Customer SIEMs
- Custom development of event collectors/connectors (agents)
- Contribute to the security boards, supporting the anomalies handling process related to the SIEM operation and administration
- Support in design and continuous improvement of operational procedures
- Development and support the implementation and execution of standard procedures for SIEM administration
- Ensure Security Monitoring performance reporting and contribute to the continuous service improvement
- Conduct SIEM vendor briefings to understand product upgrades, roadmap of features etc.
- Review documentation related to SIEM operation and administration
- Provide support to the Customer Operations team on any other tasks under its responsibility
