CNIO is an international cancer research center of excellence with an active and stimulating working environment with a multidisciplinary approach to cancer research. The scope of the research carried out by GMEG ranges from identifying aetiological agents and genetic pathways to translating the findings into the clinical and public health domains, focusing on bladder, pancreatic, and breast cancers. To do so, we apply innovative methodology and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches to both hypothesis-driven and agnostic/exploratory analyses to integrate several levels of information, including omics- and image-derived data. Our ultimate goal is to achieve personalized cancer prevention at three different levels: reducing cancer incidence, improving early detection, and increasing the length and quality of life.
