JOIN THE TEAM
We are currently seeking a talented Scrum Master to join our team at BASF´s Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the Scrum framework is understood and implemented correctly by the Scrum Team, including organizing and facilitating Scrum events such as Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
- Identify and eliminate obstacles or impediments hindering the progress of the Scrum Team, embracing a servant leadership approach by supporting the team´s needs and fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the Scrum Team and stakeholders in understanding and adopting Scrum principles and practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure the Product Backlog is well- defined, prioritized, and understood by the team, and help the team understand and use relevant metrics to track progress and maintain transparency
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate open communication within the team, encouraging constructive discussions to resolve issues, and communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between the team´s work and the organization´s goals and priorities, identifying and addressing risks and dependencies that may affect the team´s ability to deliver value
- Foster a sense of ownership and empowerment within the team, encouraging them to make decisions and take responsibility for their work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree, e.g. Bachelor
- Degree in Business Administration
- Leadership experience within agile organizations (must)
- Work experience within Digital teams and Jobs (must)
- Experience in Data Science project is preferred
- Experience in internal or external Stakeholder Management

The iShift Product Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for all iShift Pod (Agile Product Team). (S)He helps educate the Pod in Scrum and Agile at scale practices, ensuring that the agreed Agile process is being followed. (S)He also helps remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
iShift is a key strategic program for Sanofi to create a modern ERP solution that will serve as a foundation and accelerator for the company’s digital ambition.
The program is a strategic initiative aiming at harmonizing & simplifying ERP related business processes through the implementation of SAP latest technology (S/4 HANA).
Target Harmonization Level Is 80/18/2
- 80% of the processes harmonized across the group
- 18% of the processes harmonized at GBU level
- 2% for local/country specificities (ex: legal, fiscal or regulatory requirements).
The iShift Product Scrum Master & Agile Coach will be the owner of the Agile methodology for the iShift program and be the iShift Agile coach. He will also be accountable for leading the iShift Program Increment for core features and business value projects and he will support the Agile practice for deployment teams.
Main Responsibilities
iShift Agile methodology ownership
- Owns the methodology continuous improvement; establishes and refines processes that work for the team
- Makes sure the supporting tools like Jira and Confluence are setup to help the teams and are aligned with methodology evolution
- Keeps the methodology documentation up to date including program newcomer onboarding and roll-out kits
- Organizes training sessions to promote and master agility practices
- Promotes and secures the right usage of principles, rules and practices of agile development
- Helps the Product Owners in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
- Coaches team through Epics and stories, meet the delivery team’s Definition of Ready
- Prepare and Facilitates Project Increment planning throughout each PI
- Communicates with management and outside stakeholders; helps protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work,
- When dealing with external vendors, ensures the external team wrap into our own process,
- Facilitates all conversations and sessions with the larger group around Epic and/or Initiative discovery priorities, requirements, dependencies, inter-team cooperation
- Helps coordinate inter-team cooperation and helps the team operate well on large agile project
- Helps the team embrace agile at scale process and implement practices (ceremonies,…)
- Leverages agile tracker tools (like Jira and Confluence)
- During sprint execution:
- Reports on progress and works with stream leads to adjust sprint planning, resources,…
- Supports the POD scrum masters
- Helps steer team to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Leverage Built-In Quality practices
- Checks that the deployment Agile team is setup properly
- Assesses their methodology knowledge after their onboarding
- Provides methodology coaching on-demand
- Throughout the project, makes sure the methodology is followed properly
