The Opportunity
ESW has embarked on our biggest technical program of our history and are looking for someone to be at the core of the major transformation moving from monolith platforms to a modern, event-driven, micro-service architecture on the Microsoft Azure cloud (leveraging CosmosDB and JSON designed Events).
Data is at the center of our thinking and with this role comes a huge opportunity for someone that is looking to advance their data career. Someone that has experience understanding large, complex data platforms/models and is used to having to identify the right stakeholders to get an understanding of what feeds that data, what consumes it and is comfortable with a toolbox of how best to then document the data lineage, to support the future state of our architecture.
Working in our GCP focused data, but closely with Architecture, you will be able to write and understand complex T-SQL Statements (our monolith is a SQL Server platform). You will understand key concepts like: Data Modelling, Data Lineage and System Integrations (and impact of data). Ideally you will understand APIs (and be able to test them via Postman) to support understanding integrations in and out of our data platforms.
Critical to this role is the ability to show great consultative skills, dealing with senior and technical stakeholders whilst being used to working for large periods of time in analysis and design. The right candidate is dynamic, wants to progress their career (lots of opportunities to move to BI, Engineering or Architecture) and happy to roll their sleeves up to deliver the most important initiative ESW has ever embarked upon!
While frequent travel is not expected, there will be required visits to our sites in the US, Europe and Worldwide; mainly focused in Madrid, Dublin and New York.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and document the data lineage of monolith platform databases.
- Become the domain expert on how data is used, its origins, and its business linkage to key tables/fields.
- Ensure program deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Identify and call out blockers, issues, and risks to the program team and line management.
- Handle relationships with senior product, business, and technical collaborators.
- Develop a deep understanding of ESW enterprise data.
- Provide insights into the broader implications of data usage and migration.

- Partner with developers and architects to define event schemas.
- Ensure backward compatibility between legacy and modern systems.
- Identify and recommend tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance data analysis, modelling, and documentation processes.
- Proficiency with SQL Server Profiler or equivalent and advanced T-SQL skills to query and interrogate complex databases effectively.
- Knowledge of ETL pipelines to understand current data flows.
- Familiarity with the basic concepts of event sourcing and stream processing.
- Basic skills with Postman for debugging, testing, and mocking API integrations
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Looker, or Azure Data Studio for creating accessible data models and lineage reports.
- Ability to generate visuals tailored to business stakeholders.
- Expertise in reading, understanding, and building JSON and AVRO data models.
- Basic knowledge of cloud data services, with an emphasis on Azure CosmosDB or similar services.
- Retail Industry Experience is a plus.

Role Overview
The primary objective of the Customer Success Team is to build relationships with our SME accounts, leading to improved customer lifespan and increased potential of upsell and cross-sell opportunities. The Customer Success Team Leader will lead a team of customer success managers and team leads, overseeing processes and metrics directly related to portfolio growth, customer retention, churn prevention and customer satisfaction.
The Customer Success Director is responsible for full cycle planning and execution through the Customer Success team. They implement data-led strategies to retain customers via pro-active outbound communication with the target base, and oversee the team’s execution of both inbound and outbound activities. These include ad hoc and “always on” commercial outbound campaigns, tracking and reporting on progress, and iterating strategies based on campaign success. This team will also be responsible for inbound customer calls and requests for commercial and non-operations purposes, where customer success managers will be expected to engage with customers before, during, and after the request is successfully executed for that customer.
What You Will Do
- Team management: Build and scale a high-performing team, with focus on prioritising workloads based on data insights and requirements, championing employee development and maintaining an inclusive work environment.
- Metric tracking: Use CRM tools to monitor relevant customer retention, growth and churn metrics, and prepare and present regular reports on customer retention and portfolio trends to senior management.
- Internal collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as tech, product, operations, other sales teams and executive leadership in order to create clear cross-department process flows to boost customer satisfaction.
- Contract renewals: Coordinate process for tracking customer contract terms and coordinating renewals and contract negotiation to maximise customer retention.
- Inbound commercial requests: Organise team capacity to cover inbound customer calls and requests for commercial and non-operations purposes, where customer success managers will be expected to engage with customers before, during, and after therequest is successfully executed for that customer.
- Outbound Commercial campaigns: Implement targeted commercial campaigns (e.g.,win-back offers, cross-sell, upsell, etc.), working closely with Go-To-Market team and Marketing.
- Churn analysis: Set-up and oversee process to capture and analyse customer churn reasons, including an off boarding process and checklist and off boarding interviews.
- Churn reduction: Plan customer-oriented churn reduction strategies based on data-driven insights and monitor team execution.
- Proven experience in Customer Success or Mass Account Management role, ideally in a Payments or Fintech environment. Relevant courses / training desired but not required.
- Experience in building and leading a high-performing team.
- Commercially oriented, strong analytical skills and goal-oriented mindset, with experience in devising and executing go-to-market models.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI) as well as experience in using CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to influence cross-functionally, in a matrix organisation
- Passion for building strong customer relationships and fostering customer loyalty.
- Desired experience working with international internal stakeholders and customers.

Established Role: the position defined to help you see the big picture
The Corporate Accountant is primarily responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, related postings in the subledger and general ledger, as well as other accounting tasks as required under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.
The Corporate Accountant is a key member of the accounting team. She/he is the second level check in the corporate control system. Ensuring purchasing processes and approvals have been followed by maintaining data integrity including line coding, vendor/customer set up and payment processing. The individual in this role must have a generalized knowledge of full cycle accounting.
Established Priorities: what’s important and where you should spend your time each day
- Accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of all transactions
- Assist with monthly / quarterly / annual statutory filing and internal reporting
- Maintenance, reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable records
- Assist in maintenance of vendor files including vendor terms and contact details
- Support the Accounting Manager with closing the monthly management accounts in line with group policies and timetable
- Perform regular (Monthly ) Balance Sheet reviews
- Prepare the Weekly Cash report
- Provide support, where required, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of departmental goals and requirements
- Maintain department files and databases as appropriate
- Support the Accounting Manager with Local (Spanish) and Group related tax matters
What you'll bring:
- University degree in Accounting (preferably Accounting Program at Spanish University), and/or experience in a similar role (at least 2 years)
- Previous managerial experience would be a plus
- Advanced Business Level in English, both oral and written. Spanish will be a great plus
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organization and proactive skills, paying attention to detail
- Intermediate knowledge with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be a plus
- Knowledge of IFRS (SMEs) is a plus
