About The Role
Dow Jones Risk & Compliance is a global provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. We deliver data, research tools and services to help our clients meet anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-corruption and economic sanctions regulations and mitigate third-party risk.
You will join a team of multilingual experts who research, record and update details on companies with adverse media in countries around the world for the Adverse Media Entities (AME) content set within Dow Jones Risk & Compliance. You will report to the Manager, Adverse Media Entities. You will be based in Barcelona.
You Will
- Create and update profiles of companies with adverse media (Adverse Media Entities - AME) by continually monitoring and analysing relevant publicly available sources including corporate registries, government websites and data on Dow Jones owned products
- Research and extract relevant data adhering to guidelines on AME selection, data coverage and accuracy standards
- Ensure that profiles are complete, accurate and up-to-date
- Respond in writing to clients' questions about AME content
- Write due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contribute to other projects
- Support R&C with translation services as and when required
- Contribute to workflow improvements and tool efficiencies
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Excellent research, analytical and writing skills
- Proofreading skills and experience in handling large volumes of information
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
- A reliable and responsible attitude
- An openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity
- The ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
- The ability to communicate effectively
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g. French)
- Automation skills, such as advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming, Python, HTML and/or SQL
- Knowledge of and interest in current affairs and anti-money laundering regulations
- Understanding of the legal landscape in Brazil, Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions
- Education to a degree level or relevant experience

Requirements
- Strong willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve performance within the gaming industry
- Motivation to work in a multicultural and diverse team environment
- Basic understanding of customer service principles and practices
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to confidently work in front of cameras and with different studio equipment
- Excellent communication skills and a naturally engaging, positive presence
- Proficiency in ´specific dedicated language´ and good command in English (both spoken and written)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Previous experience in a casino or gaming environment is an advantage, but not mandatory
Game Hosting:
- Conduct live casino games, including but not limited to Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, and Baccarat, in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain high energy and enthusiasm throughout the game, creating a positive experience for online players.
- Engage with players through live chat or voice, maintaining a polite and professional demeanor at all times.
- Game Integrity:
- Ensure all gaming rules are adhered to and followed, maintaining the integrity and fairness of the game.
- Shuffle, deal cards, spin the roulette wheel, or perform other required game activities with precision and accuracy.
- Monitor player behavior and report any suspicious activities, ensuring responsible gaming practices.
- Player Interaction:
- Provide clear instructions to players and answer any game-related questions in a friendly and professional manner.
- Engage with players via live chat to enhance their gaming experience and build a sense of community.
- Reports player complaints or concerns, escalating issues to the Studio Supervisor when necessary.
- Follow all local and international gaming regulations, ensuring compliance with responsible gaming practices.
- Adhere to internal company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct, particularly regarding professional behavior, dress code, and on-camera presence.
- Manage the pace of the game according to studio guidelines and operational procedures.
- Ensure all equipment, including cards, roulette wheels, and cameras, is functioning properly.
- Report any technical issues or disruptions immediately to the relevant department.
- Work closely with fellow game presenters, and studio support staff to maintain seamless operations.
- Collaborate with technical teams and supervisors to ensure that game flow is uninterrupted and professional.
