We are looking for a Field Service Mechanical Technician with a main responsibility in supervising Field Service mechanical activities on 4-Stroke Marine Engines and Propulsion Systems. The location for this position is Spain.

Your role and responsibilities 

As a Field Service Mechanical Technician, your work will include the following responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems and equipment at marine and power plant locations.
• Assist in the setup, testing, and initial operation of new mechanical systems and equipment to ensure they are installed correctly and functioning as intended.
• Support the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of mechanical systems and components during scheduled overhauls to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various types of 4-stroke engines, including Diesel, Gas, and Dual Fuel engines.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot different types of propulsion equipment, such as Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPP), Thrusters, and waterjets.
• Be prepared to travel approximately 80% of the time to different sites to provide on-site mechanical support and services.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  
  

Requirements for the position 

• Proven experience in troubleshooting, overhauls, and commissioning such as ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, perform comprehensive overhauls, and assist in the setup and testing of new installations.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (around 80% of the time) for field service assignments.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to collective goals and supporting team members.
• Proficiency in documenting and reporting on work performed, including detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and any issues encountered.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients, addressing their concerns and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively and perform well in high-stress situations, maintaining composure and delivering quality work.
