What You'll Do
Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks Lakehouse Platform, with a strong focus on Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
Lead the development of batch and streaming data workflows that power analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence use cases.
Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into robust, production-grade solutions.
Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of Databricks clusters and jobs, leveraging tools like Photon, Auto Loader, and Job Workflows.
Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, governance, and security within the Databricks environment.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of the team's Databricks expertise.
What You'll Bring
Deep hands-on experience with Databricks on Azure, AWS, or GCP, including Spark (PySpark/Scala), Delta Lake, and MLflow.
Strong programming skills in Python or Scala, and experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

In This Role, You Will
- Developing various facets of data capture, data processing, storage, distribution and visualization
- Understanding and applying AWS standard methodologies and products (compute, storage, databases)

Introduction to role
Evinova is seeking a dynamic Test Engineering Leader to join our Product Engineering team. Are you passionate about building products and driving innovation? In this role, you´ll leverage your test engineering expertise to deliver world-class solutions. As a Test Engineering Leader, you´ll bring an engineering mindset to testing, leading the testing strategy for our products. Collaborate with engineering leaders and excellence teams to implement tailored testing tools, establish a shared vision on testing practices, and lead external test engineer squads by influence. Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment to solve problems and explore new directions.
Accountabilities
As a Test Engineering Leader, you will:
- Be responsible for test delivery of two products, partnering with contract test team leadership.
- Own testing for all product releases, preparing testing artifacts and reports.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering leaders and Delivery managers for smooth releases.
- Coordinate with internal employees and external contractors across multiple locations.
- Provide tailored, high-quality, operationally sustainable solutions.
- Build and implement testing strategy (manual and automated) in collaboration with engineering leaders.
- Own testing for the products, including test plan, test metrics, and release ownership.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks and scripts.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Drive down manual testing for the products.
- Document testing and quality processes.
- Champion an engineering testing mindset.
- Coach and mentor team members as needed.
- Write and run actual test cases when necessary.
- Lead by doing, including writing scripts as needed.
Essential Skills/Experience
We consider individuals in this role to be our top tier Test Engineers. A top tier test engineer is capable of working in multiple spaces and is likely to be the most experienced and skilled test engineer on the team to begin with. Learning new technology is part of that. However, you must have deep technical skills.
- Experience leading different technology areas into a product technology roadmap.
- Previous hands-on testing experience.
- Expertise designing test architecture, selecting appropriate tools, and creating test strategy.
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and automation.
- Expertise with automated test frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python.
- Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Couchbase.
- Experience with data validation testing.
- Experience with Rest API and general API testing.
- Experience with UI testing frameworks.
- Experience with process tools like JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience with creating test reports and other auditable documentation.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor´s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of hands-on test engineer experience
- 8+ years of test engineering leader experience.
