Requirements

• Solid knowledge in innovation, design research and service design, and methodologies such as design thinking, design sprints, among others

• Structured and organized mindset to plan, conduct, realise user research, and deliver high quality reports
• Experience / ability to facilitate workshops

Job Description

As a Human Factors Specialist at IDIADA, you will be part of a specialised team working to develop user-centred solutions for automotive products and for the mobility industry.

You will perform various R&D activities across automotive mobility and work on multiple projects defining the future of automated driving and intelligent transport solutions. This has a scope throughout the development process - covering research around users, product and system user requirement definition, human-centred concept generation, and user testing for validation / verification.

Your main duties

• Application of Human Factors and Ergonomics at all phases of development, from concept definition through to design and testing
• Planning and execution of formative and summative user-centred research studies into areas such as: human behaviour, cognitive performance, physiological condition, user comfort and experience, usability
• Application of qualitative and quantitative user testing methods in simulated and real-world environments
• Design of human factors methods and techniques applicable to the development of future vehicles and other transport solutions
• Creation of user level specifications of products and systems based upon insights from studies around human needs
• Development and implementation of extensive evaluation programmes for testing of user interactions with autonomous driving systems

Reporting to the Product Manager, you will be involved in On-Board Emissions & Fuel Economy team of Powertrain Department for all kind of vehicle technologies: ICE, PHEV, HEV, EV and FCEV. The activities to be carried out will consist in complete vehicle testing and analysis in the field of on-board emissions and fuel & energy consumption, mainly in Heavy Duty vehicles (but also in Light Duty vehicles), as well as managing and reporting the related activities of those projects. • Elaborar planos y diseños técnicos usando CAD.
