Open Evidence is an innovative company at the intersection of economic and policy analysis, behavioural science, and data science. We provide impactful solutions to clients in both the private and public sectors, with a strong focus on European institutions. Our work spans diverse domains, including public health, digitalisation, innovation, consumer protection, labour and social inclusion.
We are expanding our team and seeking a Research Consultant to join our dynamic and fast-paced company. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in social sciences research methods, who are eager to contribute to high-impact projects. Based in Barcelona, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to tackle critical policy challenges and support evidence-based policymaking.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and desk research.
- Design, monitor, and conduct interviews and surveys.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
- Prepare presentations and research briefs.
- Draft text for research proposals and deliverables.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of evaluation and impact assessments.
- Identify proposal requirements, including administrative documents.
- Help develop business cases.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology, or Social Sciences (or closely related fields).
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas concisely.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- EU policy knowledge.
- Proficiency in English with professional/academic experience.
- Additional EU languages spoken (French, German or others) are a plus.
- EU work permit.
- Experience with at least one statistical tool (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of survey and programming tools (e.g. Qualtrics) is a plus.

- Full-time position with time flexibility (hybrid work policy).
- 6 weeks/year remote work from abroad.
- Salary range is around 30k gross annually.
