We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Buyer to join our Procurement team. The Site Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process on-site, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials required for the site’s operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of purchasing processes, supply chain management, and vendor relationships.
The scope of materials responsibility will be mechanical category.
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities for the site, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, etc.) to understand procurement needs and priorities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible terms and service.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor supply chain continuity, ensuring delivery on time and stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Analyse and report on procurement performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Handle any procurement-related issues or disputes with suppliers.
- Ensure that all products procured meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
- Technical interpretation of Drawings
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
