Medical Writer & Publication Specialist

Our team plays a crucial role within GSK Spain organization, focusing on generating robust evidence to support the value of our innovative products. Positioned within the Medical Affairs department, our team collaborates across Therapeutic Areas (TAs) closely with various internal stakeholders including Market Access and Commercial functions to ensure the successful delivery of evidence that meets patient, physician but also regulatory and payer requirements.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Writer & Publication Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, writing, and editing scientific content for a variety of publication types, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations, contributing to the proper data analysis and interpretation in collaboration with cross-functional teams to support our product portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the data driven approach, advancing healthcare through rigorous research and evidence-based decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, a deep understanding of medical science, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, impactful content.

Responsabilities:


  • Develop, write, and edit scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations for peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs across TAs, market access, and marketing teams to gather information and ensure the accuracy and consistency of scientific content.
  • Ensure all publications comply with relevant guidelines, including ICMJE, GPP3, and company-specific standards.
  • Manage the publication process, including submission, revision, and correspondence with journal editors and conference organizers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific and medical research relevant to GSK’s therapeutic areas and products.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Health Science
  • Solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry, consultancy, or academia.
  • Strong understanding of scientific research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in medical writing and publication software tools (e.g., EndNote, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • High level of English.


Valuable in the role:


  • Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, or PharmD) in a relevant scientific field (e.g., life sciences, biology, pharmacy, etc.).
  • Project management skills.
