The Role
The Engineering team at Ebury is seeking a Software Engineer to play a crucial part in our team. As part of our diverse team spread across South America and Europe, the successful candidate will be entrusted with the development and optimisation of our multi-currency account systems, incoming funds, and outgoing payment processes. You´ll be required to make significant contributions to our platform as we continually aim to bring it to the next level and deliver the best payment experience for our clients and operational teams.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute the development of the next iteration of our platform, designed to streamline cross-border payments and the international collection of funds.
- Collaborate with your team members and engineering leaders to design new services and components using our Request For Comments (RFC) process.
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members, positively changing the trajectory of the team to increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the team.
- Lead product initiatives from discovery to delivery, working closely with the product and operational teams to ensure everyone is on the same page.
About you:
- You have extensive experience in developing complex software systems.
- Experience with any of our current tech stack will be considered an advantage: Django, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Kibana.
- Since you will work side by side with colleagues from different countries, you will be able to communicate clearly and concisely your ideas in English both written and spoken.
- As we work closely with Product members, you should be able to collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives and user needs.
- You are adept at both constructing and managing services. As such, you should have proficiency in establishing standard APIs, incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services, along with a strong expertise in integrating external systems.
- Quality is important to us, we expect your code to be testable and well covered with unit and integration tests. We use CI Jenkins pipelines and terraform for the deployment of services and infrastructure. From time to time, you might need to contribute to it.
- In line with our ´You build it, you own it´ philosophy, we expect you to take full ownership of the products you build, embracing both their development and ongoing maintenance.

¿Cómo será tu día a día?
Una vez que estés con nosotros, ocuparás el cargo de Data Scientist y tus días serán muy diferentes, te encargarás de:
- Desarrollar, implementar y optimizar modelos de visión artificial para aplicaciones como reconocimiento de imágenes,
detección de objetos, segmentación y más.
- Trabajar en modelos predictivos basados en IA para diversos casos de uso, incluyendo la posible integración con otros
dominios de IA.
- Colaborar con equipos multidisciplinares para comprender los requisitos del proyecto y ofrecer soluciones innovadoras.
- Realizar preprocesamiento de datos, incluyendo anotación de imágenes, aumentación y extracción de características.
- Utilizar herramientas como Azure ML para desarrollar, desplegar y escalar modelos de aprendizaje automático.
- Realizar análisis exploratorio de datos y modelado estadístico para extraer información de conjuntos de datos complejos.
- Mantenerse actualizado sobre las últimas tendencias y avances en IA, aprendizaje automático y visión artificial.
- Documentar y presentar metodologías, hallazgos y resultados a interlocutores técnicos y no técnicos.
- Participar en reuniones y colaboraciones con equipos internacionales, lo que requiere un alto nivel de inglés.
¿Qué te hará triunfar en esta posición?
Para poder desarrollar este puesto de una forma óptima, es necesario:
Requisitos Imprescindibles
- Grado o Máster en Informática, Ciencia de Datos, Ingeniería o campo relacionado.
- Al menos 2 años de experiencia en desarrollo y despliegue de modelos de visión artificial utilizando frameworks como TensorFlow, PyTorch u OpenCV.
- Sólidos conocimientos de algoritmos de aprendizaje automático y sus aplicaciones.
- Dominio de lenguajes de programación como Python o R.
- Experiencia práctica en trabajo con plataformas cloud, preferiblemente Azure ML.
- Sólida comprensión de técnicas y herramientas de procesamiento de imágenes.
- Familiaridad con arquitecturas de deep learning como CNNs, RNNs y transformers.
- Fuertes habilidades de resolución de problemas y capacidad para trabajar tanto de forma independiente como en equipo.
- Nivel alto de inglés (tanto escrito como hablado) para una colaboración internacional efectiva.
Requisitos Deseables
- Experiencia en otros dominios de IA, procesamiento del lenguaje natural (NLP), análisis de series temporales o clasificación.
- Conocimientos de prácticas y herramientas de MLOps.
- Experiencia con sistemas de IA multimodales que combinen visión artificial con otras técnicas de IA.

JOIN THE TEAM
As part of BASF´s Data & AI Powerhouse, we as Data Transparency team provide an enterprise-wide Data Catalog solution as single-point of truth to share knowledge about data and to find and access relevant documented data in an efficient, convenient, and compliant way. Our goal is to accelerate business decisions and processes by enabling data citizens to connect data with insights.
As part of an agile team, you will independently drive the development of the Data Catalog to bring transparency into the BASF Data Landscape and enable transfer of metadata across systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will develop new integration processes to populate the Data Catalog with metadata, using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Flows and Databricks
- You will be responsible for both the design and end-to-end implementation of individual microservices and RESTful APIs as well as ensuring their smooth operation
- You will ensure code quality by defining coding conventions and development guidelines, ensuring high test coverage
- You will contribute to build a stable and secure infrastructure and develop CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks
- Within the team, you will use your experience to support a continuous exchange of knowledge and ensure effective collaboration with our internal stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor´s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable technical education.
- Minimum of 3+ years of working experience in backend software development.
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing and consuming of web services - RESTful APIs, ideally using frameworks like Django.
- Experience in implementing and operating containerized microservices (using docker) in cloud environments.
- Experience with data transformation pipelines (ETL), ideally using Azure Data Factory, Data Flows, ADLS, and Databricks.
- Experience in implementing BPMN workflows is a plus.
- High interest in technical innovation and continuous improvement of existing systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively translating sophisticated concepts into easily-to-understand language.

- Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Having earned a Bachelor´s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering with a specialization in Software Development or equivalent experience
- Possessing 7+ years´ experience as a Full Stack Developer, with Angular 12+ and latest version of .Net C#.
- Solid understanding of architectural designs, design patterns, and software development principles (SOLID, DDD, DRY, etc)
- Proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript (Not Angular JS).
- Strong experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with microservice / micro - front end design and development
- Experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools).
- Demonstrated ability to work in an agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Certificates in Microsoft Azure Developer Associate or AI Engineer Certification

🎯 Responsabilidades:
Diseñar, implementar y gestionar infraestructuras en Microsoft Azure utilizando Terraform.Desarrollar y mantener la Infraestructura como Código (IaC) para entornos escalables y reproducibles.Implementar y administrar soluciones de contenedorización con Docker.Orquestar servicios en Kubernetes en entornos de desarrollo, prueba y producción.Colaborar con equipos DevOps para mejorar la automatización de procesos.Supervisar el rendimiento de la infraestructura y proponer mejoras continuas.
✅ Requisitos:
Experiencia mínima de 2 años trabajando con Terraform en entornos de producción.Conocimientos sólidos en Docker y Kubernetes.Experiencia con Azure DevOps y herramientas CI/CD (valorado).Título de Ingeniería Técnica en Informática.Inglés alto.
