The Role We have an opening for an EU Grants Project Manager to support a new transversal office for the integrated scientific and administrative management of EU Projects at CNAG, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities project GPE2024-001563-P .
The office will be composed of specialists from the Grants and the Strategy Coordination Departments, with a diversified job content at the interface of science, technology and management, offering continuous growth and support on a professional level.
She/ he will report to the CNAG Strategy Coordinator and work closely with CNAG researchers to foster and facilitate the application and management of EU projects.
- Main tasks and responsibilities Research and analyze funding opportunities, aligning them with CNAG strategic areas and priorities.
Organize internal meetings and external courses to train researchers in the best practices in proposal preparation, and other related topics.
Draw up and maintain internal databases with CNAG indicators.
Support the administrative management of CNAG coordinated projects.
Assist in other pre-award activities, managing the contractual agreements related to grants, and funded managing projects.
Assist in post-award activities, as needed, to facilitate smooth project implementation.
Networking and enable collaborations with institutions, companies, and research groups.
Whom would we like to hire?
Master's degree in Life Sciences Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills in English Advanced knowledge of research competitive funding environment.
Experience in preparing and assembling collaborative proposals to public and private funders and in a national/international scope.
Experience with multiple deadlines, planning skills and ability to prioritize on multiple tasks, services, collaborations with partners and comply with external requirements by funders, organizational rules etc.
Proven ability to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders at research and managerial levels.
It would be nice to have: Experience in administrative managing of projects funded by the European Commission.
Knowledge of transversal research aspects such as ethics, gender dimension, open science and innovation.
The Offer Contract duration: 2 years.
Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.

The Role We are hiring a 2 Computational Biologist to lead projects in immuno-oncology and inflammatory diseases.
We aim to delineate mechanisms of immune cell infiltration and plasticity in tumors and inflamed tissues to provide an accurate patient prognosis and a precise prediction of therapy success.
We are looking for enthusiastic computational scientists, motivated to improve our understanding of immune cell function in tumors/tissues.
Together, we aim to bring single-cell and spatial genomics applications into clinical use and to advance pathology assessment with high-dimensional genomics readouts (next-generation pathology).
The candidate will be integrated in the Single Cell Genomics Team , a highly collaborative, international work environment with well-experienced colleagues in single-cell and spatial data generation and analysis.
The projects the candidates will be involved in aim to understand the molecular and cellular basis of immunomodulating drug action through the application of multi-omics single-cell and spatial technologies on clinical samples.
Your tasks include the analysis of multi-modal single-cell and spatial data and the development of statistical methods to integrate multi-omics, spatial and clinical patient information.
We are looking for highly motivated and a creative thinking individual who is interested in working in an environment where the technical sophistication of single-cell and spatial technologies meets innovative approaches for interpreting data and generating new knowledge.
We require the ability for working in a multi-disciplinary team on collaborative projects.
- Main tasks and responsibilities Analyze multi-modal single-cell and spatial genomic data to identify mechanisms of immune cell infiltration and plasticity in tumors and inflamed tissues.
Innovate and refine computational techniques for single-cell and spatial data analysis.
Create tools and pipelines to enhance the integration of diverse data types, including genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and clinical datasets.
Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including biologists, clinicians, and other computational scientists, to design and execute research projects.
Contribute to research projects aimed at understanding the molecular and cellular basis of immunomodulating drug actions.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and other researchers in computational biology techniques and best practices.
Collaborate with clinical teams to bring single-cell and spatial genomics applications into clinical use.
Whom would we like to hire?
You have completed a PhD in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
You are competent in Python or R. You have excellent knowledge of Computational Biology.
Experience in single-cell and/or spatial analysis.
The Offer Contract duration: 3 years.
