- Experiencia en el manejo de grandes conjuntos de datos y en el uso de herramientas estadísticas con Python
- Familiaridad con metodologías de análisis predictivo y modelado de datos.
- Conocimiento de herramientas de limpieza y transformación de datos.

Purpose of the Role:
Regulatory reporting in Europe remains a significant challenge for payment institutions as regulators scrutiny continues increasing. This role is a unique opportunity to learn about the complex European Regulatory landscape and challenges across European markets for payment institutions, learn about our business model across Europe and learn to manage risks in a changing environment.
This is a new position to bolster the recently created Legal Entity (LE) Regulatory Reporting team, which has the responsibility to oversee the successful delivery of all regulatory reporting obligations in scope. The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to create actionable insights, perform data analytics and analysis, and support data extraction for ad-hoc or recurring requests from regulatory reporting managers across Legal Entities. The role may also involve contributing to automation and data visualization initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills (SQL, Python, Excel, Data visualization) and a solid understanding of data manipulation to analyze and interpret data effectively. Critical thinking, problem solving, communication and business acumen to translate insights into actionable insights are essential for the success in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with different data teams involved in Regulatory Reporting to understand requirements, become familiar with the systems, and identify the system of records where the data resides.
- Effectively supply data to LE Regulatory Reporting team members in a timely fashion to support the development and roll out regulatory reporting, insights, and analytics across legal entities.
- Perform data treatments, validation controls, and ad hoc analytics when required.
- Support the enhancement of process efficiency across the Regulatory Reporting team. Automate regular data extraction for controls and establish new processes with efficiency.
- Support the creation and maintenance of documentation for all data extraction, queries, and logic used, as well as for any process optimization implemented.
- Employ problem-solving skills to address unexpected tasks and minimize disruption to project schedules.
- Continuously shows curiosity and critical thinking to propose new and better solutions to enhance the department’s efficiency, improve reporting processes, methodologies, and document regulatory reporting requirements.
- Technical skills: SQL programming (Intermediate - Expert level); Tableau /Power BI (Intermediate), Google Cloud, Hive, Visualization and Coding experience (particularly python and vba, would be highly recommended).
- Highly proficient user of Excel and Power-point, Access.

About The Opportunity ✍️
This is an opportunity for an ambitious Data Analyst to have a huge impact across the organization, while working in a complex and rapidly changing crypto environment. We are looking for someone with experience or an interest in end-to-end “full-stack” data work, including: data strategy, analytics engineering, (advanced) analytics and data science. The main focus of this position will be to play a crucial role in supporting our Accounting and FP&A functions.
What You Will Do
- Build robust data models and infrastructure downstream of backend services and external data sources, which support reconciliation, internal reporting, and ad-hoc analysis
- Develop “The Ledger”, which tracks all our crypto and fiat movements from external data sources
- Design, build and scale a MoonPay-wide approach to reconciliation for cash and crypto using both internal and external data sources.
- Conduct more strategic analysis on specific topics such as the Flow of Funds from both a cash and crypto perspective
- Collaborate with the finance team and the crypto engineering team to conduct investigations into areas such as issues with crypto delivery
- Working closely with accounting & finance to build custom tables & reporting to support their efforts.
- Communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences (across different teams)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams on Product, Engineering, and Finance
As a Data Analyst, you’ll be expected to work cross-functionally with different parts of the organization while maintaining a focus on Data and Finance. Being someone who can build robust data models to contribute to the current ecosystem of data products. We are seeking someone with experience or an interest in “full-stack” data work, from data engineering to data analytics.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Computer Engineering (or related fields), Physics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Sciences, etc.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is an asset.
- Expertise in one or more object-oriented languages, including Python, Scala, or C++
- Deep understanding of data-modeling principles and best practices.
- Extensive experience with relational databases and excellent SQL fluency.
- Proven experience working with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive).
- Experience working with MS Fabric, Databricks, and/or Snowflakes.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with ETL products
- Strong background in developing microservices-based architectures and the technologies that enable them (containers, REST APIs, messaging queues, etc.).
- Experience with team collaboration tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Solid experience with unit testing and continuous integration practices.
- Familiarity with Scrum/Agile development methodologies and the ability to lead agile teams.
- Strong critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to see the ´big picture´ while also diving into the details when necessary.

¿Qué harás?
- Desarrollar análisis de datos, aplicando distintas metodologías matemáticas y/o estadísticas para recopilar, organizar, interpretar y resumir datos numéricos para proporcionar información utilizable a las áreas de negocio.
- Liderar informes y/o entregables relacionados con datos relevantes para la toma de decisiones, así como realizar presentaciones a los equipos de negocio.
- Apoyar al equipo de Business Insights en su desarrollo, proporcionando asistencia técnica y entendimiento entre los miembros sobre el uso eficaz de los datos y sus mejores prácticas.
- Generación de visualización e interpretación de datos efectivas (diseño de sistemas, tableros, gráficos de información, mapeo, herramientas de datos y B.I.).
- Ser el focal en las mesas de trabajo con las áreas de negocio para mostrar resultados y avances, priorizando y planificando el trabajo o proyecto que esté bajo su gestión.
- Llevar a cabo investigaciones cualitativas y cuantitativas, utilizando enfoques de métodos mixtos para el análisis de datos.
Requisitos
- Experiencia laboral previa de al menos 3 años como analista de negocio o analista de datos.
- Formación superior en: negocios, matemáticas, económicas, finanzas, estadística o ingeniería, siendo valorable estudios de Máster/MBA.
- Alta capacidad analítica y manejo en modelos de datos como SQL o software estadístico/matemático como Python y en gestión de Big Data.
- Buenas capacidades comunicativas con diferentes interlocutores, así como capacidad resolutiva e iniciativa para la innovación en la resolución de problemas.
- Habilidad estructurando la información, analizándola y extrayendo datos según necesidades de negocio.
- Idiomas: Español e Inglés avanzado.
- Deseable: experiencia trabajando con Python y con herramientas de visualización como Tableau, Power BI o similares, así como trabajando en proyectos del sector aéreo, turismo y/o viajes.
