The Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for the End-to-End local supply chain processes and performance with the objective to maximize customer and patient satisfaction.
Typical Accountabilities
The Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for the End-to-End local supply chain processes and performance with the objective to maximize customer and patient satisfaction.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and leadership of the Commercial Supply Chain,local logistics and Sales Order to Cash for all products.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring all relevant Supply Chain processes are appropriately developed, maintained, and improved, including demand forecasting, supply of products to the market, new products launch, recalls, management of customer master data customer complaints, sales order to cash, inventory management & reconciliation, and day to day management of 3PL.
Will work with Regional Commercial Supply Chain, Distribution, Regulatory, Product Quality, Finance, Commercial, and Market Access leadership to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of AstraZeneca medicines to customers and patients.
Will be responsible for communicating Supply and Demand information to Regional Supply Chain teams in a timely manner and liaising appropriately with QA, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial and other relevant functions to resolve supply issues.
Will work with the Regional Supply Chain Team to ensure reliable supply of Product to Customers and Patients.
Manage the daily operations with the local Logistics Service Provider.
Team member in launch execution teams representing Supply Chain for the launch of new products.
Manage and lead relationships with key Distribution partners/Wholesalers.
Leadership of commercial supply chain and distribution, being accountable of the following functions::
- End-to-end Commercial Supply Chain including Sales Order to Cash.
- Day by day management of 3PL providers and Distributors / Specialty Distributors
- Warehousing and Inventory Management
- Product Distribution
- Commercial Supply Chain Financial Data Management
- Commercial GDP Compliance within the Supply Chain
- Last mile distribution of stablished and new product introductions (NPI´s) Governance of the Demand forecasting processes for the market, IBP/S&OP, as well as owns the Demand and Supply Submission in collaboration with the respective functions.
- Development of Supply Chain solutions to new business opportunities.
- Collaboration with product quality at the country level, addressing customer complaints, and executing CAPA´s to mitigate quality issues.
Guarantee that all activities related to the job comply with applicable external and internal regulations (policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and code of conduct).
Essential
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Extensive proven experience (+8 years) in supply chain management specifically in the health care industry (pharma sector, distribution sites or logistics service providers).
- Experience working with 3PL providers and Distributors/Wholesalers.
- Solid experience in Planning, Distribution, Warehousing, Transportation, Supply Chain, Sales order to Cash and Customer Service.
- C1 English level and Spanish.
- Extensive proven experience (+8 years) in supply chain management specifically in the health care industry (pharma sector, distribution sites or logistics service providers).
- Ability to influence at all levels both within Supply Chain, with Commercial, Finance and other key cross functional partners, in a matrix environment and externally.
- Has good understanding of the financial flows and associated product flows.
- Strong background of working with ERP´s, preferably with SAP, and knowledge of EDI and electronic invoicing schemesStrong compliance background in GDP (Good Distribution Practice) specifically and GXP in general.
