Job Description:
As a Java Developer at Axiom Software Solutions Limited, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications that are high-volume and low-latency. You will work closely with other developers, testers, and project managers to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Your primary focus will be on back-end development, ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining Java applications using Spring, Hibernate and other frameworks. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Troubleshooting and resolving production issues. • Participating in code reviews to maintain the quality of the codebase. • Writing unit and integration tests to ensure application robustness.
Requirements
Qualifications: • Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in Java development including (Java 11/17/18) • Strong knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns. • Experience with Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC). • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. • Understanding of database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. • Ability to work in an Agile development environment. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication skills in English.

*What You´ll Do**.*
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and troubleshoot new and existing software within time and scope of the integration.
* Perform tests of the applications and apply remediation as needed to eliminate errors.
* Ensures smooth process during third-party API integrations.
* Assist in the development and peer review of plans, technical solutions, and related documentation.
* Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
* Building reusable code and libraries for future use.

• 2+ years of experience in .NET Framework – MVC, Web API, Entity Framework
• Experience with .NET 6: Strong understanding of the .NET 6 framework and experience in building and maintaining high-performance applications using C#.
• Basic Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD): Familiarity with DDD principles and how to structure complex applications around the core business domain, ensuring that the application architecture aligns with business needs.
• Understanding of the Mediator Pattern: Ability to work with the Mediator pattern for managing communication between different components, promoting loose coupling and ensuring that each component focuses on a single responsibility.
• Knowledge of CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation): Basic understanding of CQRS principles to separate read and write operations, helping to improve application scalability and organization.
• Good understanding of best coding practices
• Experience in MS-SQL Server
• Basic knowledge in front-end development with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Angular
• Experience in C# .NET

• Skilled with all OOP concepts

**The Role:**
The Trade Engine Engineering team at Ebury is seeking an experienced Software Engineer. As part of our diverse team spread across South America and Europe, the successful candidate will be entrusted with the development and optimisation of our multi-currency accounting system and exchange of foreign currencies. You´ll be required to make significant contributions to our platform as we continually aim to bring it to the next level and deliver the best FX experience for our clients and operational teams.

**Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to the development of the next iteration of our FX platform´s services, collaborating both in the development and delivery of new products but also in the improvement and automation of existing ones.
- Collaborate with your team members and engineering leaders to design new services and components using our Request For Comments (RFC) process.

**About You:**
- You have extensive experience in developing complex software systems. We mainly work with Python, but it is also ok if you are more comfortable with other OOP languages.
- Since you will work side by side with colleagues from different countries, you will be able to communicate clearly and concisely your ideas in English, both written and spoken.
- You are adept at both constructing and managing services. As such, you should have proficiency in establishing standard APIs, incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services, along with a strong expertise in integrating external systems.
- You are not afraid of legacy code, being able to keep it running and make improvement proposals once you are comfortable with the workflows, so that we can reduce our technical debt backlog.
- Quality is important to us, we expect your code to be testable and well covered with unit and integration tests. We use CI Jenkins pipelines and terraform for the deployment of services and infrastructure. From time to time, you might need to contribute to it.
