Expeditor Manager (Wind)

We take pride in our dedicated team of over 2,000 professionals within the Oil & Energy business, with more than 500 specifically focused on the Renewable industry where only the electrical engineering area generated 24,5 m€ revenue last year.
Presently, we are seeking a skilled Expeditor Manager to join our team in Europe. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of key project components across various manufacturing sites. As an Expeditor Manager, you will act on behalf of Applus+, overseeing production schedules, monitoring progress, and mitigating any potential delays to keep the project on track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Control: Monitor and track production progress, manufacturing schedules, and supplier workloads. Conduct on-site inspections and assess production plans to identify potential bottlenecks.
- Progress Reporting: Accurately record and report the status of work against planned schedules. Provide regular updates to client’s project managers to ensure alignment with project milestones.
- Field Expediting: Conduct on-site inspections to verify the actual order status. Ensure that equipment, materials, and components are correctly loaded, shipped, and received in proper condition.
- Desk Expediting: Monitor order progress remotely at key milestones, ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Site Visits & Inspections: Plan and conduct expediting visits as directed by the Package/Expediting Manager. Attend inspections and meetings for various project packages as needed.
- Manufacturing Monitoring: Oversee the production and expediting of critical components, including transformers, reactors, cables, and wind turbine components. Ensure timely and quality delivery of these key supplies.
- Logistics & Transport Control: Manage and verify the performance of freight forwarders and transport companies. Support the logistics team with transport planning, follow-ups, and permits.
- Marine Coordination: Interface with Marine Warranty Surveyors and manage the shipping release process on behalf of the company.
Qualifications:
- BSc Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Materials engineering (or similar)
- Proven experience in expediting, logistics, or project management within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in Wind / renewable industry will be ideal.
- Strong knowledge of production control, supply chain management, and logistics.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks in the production and delivery process.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Availability to travel across various manufacturing sites in Europe.
