- Play a key role in the development of a LEAN & continuous improvement culture as part of the HPS team (Henkel Production System)
- Lead continuous improvement and change in the areas of productivity, quality, safety, operations, and cost across both Adhesives plants using HPS methodologies and tools.
- Identify current and future areas of value creation for the business feeding into the site’s KPI targets.
- Report on HPS activities to site management. Deploy the HPS yearly roadmap.
- Manage the implementation of Lean workshops and ensure that workshops actions are tracked and are driven to a timely completion.
- Take a lead role in process improvement projects and meetings by facilitating groups and teams. Work with all plant’s functions.
- Learn and deploy the Six Sigma project management tool.
- Analysis of operational issues
- Analysis of the data found in charts, graphs and other forms of measuring information.
- Analysing existing production methods. To develop ideas to improve production processes and performance.
- Monitoring OEE performance to identify opportunities and to solve process constraints.
- Develop standardised settings and tools, with support and training on these standards, aligned with HPS and SHEQ.
- Implementing cost-effective changes. Increasing the speed of processes, quality output and safety.
- Study and analysing production methods that can be adopted to achieve the most efficient use of people, machinery, equipment and materials.
- Optimise production line setup, document standards for all operational and setup requirements for the optimal line performance.
- A Batchelor’s degree in Engineering or in a related field.
- Preferred prior engineering and/or operations (manufacturing, supply chain) experience.
- Be enthusiastic and motivated to work in a shopfloor production environment every day.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with and lead teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Influencing and convincing skills are key to success in the role.
- Have knowledge or interest on LEAN concepts and continuous improvement principles is essential (i.e. 5S, SMED, OEE, Just in Time, Tact principle, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Challenge yourself every day with questions and ideas to improve the plant. Be proactive and flexible in the approach.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and basic digital user skills.
- Have a proven ability to learn rapidly.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt & prior experience in continuous improvement initiatives and project management is a plus.
