Important multinational Group is looking for a Senior Financial Controller based in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have around 5-8 years of professional experience in Finance, with at least 2-3 years as Finance & Business Controller in an important multinational group. Previous Big 4 experience will be a plus. Experience managing several countries or business units, will be a plus. Very high English level is a must. SAP is a plus. Workplace type: Hybrid. Availability to travel sporadically.

Reporting to the Controlling Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate the preparation of group forecasts and annual budget.
• Analyze deviations vs budget / previous month / last year of P&L, Working Capital, Cash Flow and Net Financial Debt.
• Ensure financial reporting compliance with Group's policies and reporting standards (Spanish GAAP, IFRS…).
• Coordination and communication on a regular basis with the local Finance Teams of the different countries of the Group.
• Deliver best-in-class financial reporting, value-added analysis, and decision-support to the business, interpreting key performance drivers and business dynamics to optimize efficiency.
• Develop and improve financial dashboards while reducing complexity and providing valuable insights and conclusions to key stakeholders.
• Lead the development and setup of the financial reporting systems, fueling continuous improvements and training users to ensure maximus usage.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or Master in finance will be considered as a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have around 5-8 years of professional experience in Finance, with at least 2-3 years as Finance & Business Controller in an important multinational group.
• Previous experience working in a Big 4 (audit or Transaction Services) will be a plus. We will not consider candidates who have only worked as an Auditor in a Big4, without having worked in a final client. However, we will consider candidates with at least 2-3 years of experience in Transaction Services of a Big 4 even though they have not worked in a final client yet.
• Experience managing several countries or business units, will be a plus.
• Broad experience analyzing financial statements.
• Experience with the month-end/year end close process and reporting.
• Planning and organizational skills, with ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (Spanish GAAP). IFRS knowledge will be a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and Power Point.
• Experience with reporting tools (Power BI or similar) will be an advantage.
• Experience working with SAP will be a plus.
• Very high English and Spanish level is a must.
• Availability to travel sporadically (national and international).

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze and consolidate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly communicate insights from financials to drive business decisions.
