Zoom On SIXENSE Satellite

SIXENSE Satellite division is based in Barcelona and holds an international team of excellence with more than 20 years of experience processing Satellite images to measure deformation of buildings, infrastructure, and the ground surface. The Satellite team is involved in Industrial, Research and innovation projects worldwide.

We are looking for a Graduate in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or other relevant discipline with a strong AI/ML background for our data analytics team. Knowledge of geospatial data libraries and GIS techniques will be positively valued.

Your primary focus will be in contributing to the development of data products from Earth Observation and/or in-situ sensors, including algorithm development and implementation. In particular, you will be working with big datasets of ground deformation timeseries with the objective to build added value solutions with data science techniques.

You will also be involved in institutional projects, on behalf of space agencies, development banks, etc.

Your Missions With Us

• Research, design and/or implementation of algorithms with focus on spatio-temporal data analysis tasks (ground motion timeseries data).
• Strategy development for the field of machine learning and data analysis with focus on Sixense applications (trend analysis, outlier detection, prediction, change detection…).
• Promotion of collaborative research with interdisciplinary team.
  
  

ARE YOU INTERESTED?

Here's What You Need To Succeed

• Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related fields (Statistics, Maths, AI).
• Experience with data science /machine learning tools, including Jupyter Notebooks, TensorFlow (or other), NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.
• Experience in Python and querying languages (e.g. SQL)
• Understanding of practical machine-learning techniques
• Proactive nature and great attention to detail
• Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
• Good oral and communication skills
• Ability to effectively work with tight deadlines in a logical manner.
• Interest in Earth Observation
• Proficiency in English
• Any of the following would be beneficial to your application:
  
  

Experience of geospatial libraries and toolkits (e.g – GDAL, PostGIS, QGIS).

Knowledge of Earth Observation techniques (InSAR, optical and SAR data analysis)
