Job Purpose:

Lead Corporate Communications activities that drive awareness and understanding about Kyowa Kirin and our ambition as a company by building our profile and reputation among key external stakeholders. Key activities include corporate strategy, messaging and asset development, leveraging global assets to communicate our regional story; establishing thought-leadership programs; creation and oversight of corporate communication channels including websites, social media, etc.; crisis and issues management; and support for global and cluster corporate initiatives

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Corporate Communications Strategy and platform that builds awareness for the company and its employees among key stakeholders
  • Develop a clear and compelling corporate narrative and associated assets that tell the story of Kyowa Kirin International, in the context of our role in the global Japan-based organisation
  • Be a voice among internal stakeholders for protecting the reputation of KKI to ensure key business decisions are taken with consideration of reputational impact
  • Oversee application of KK brand guidelines, ensuring appropriate use externally
  • Increase overall presence for KKI in relevant media outlets in support of building company reputation. Be a first point of contact with relevant media/journalists and other external stakeholders
  • Work with the Corporate Affairs team to develop and implement innovative programs that demonstrate the KKI brand and story in action
  • Manage all corporate channels, including KKI corporate website, social media channels, and others
  • Provide support to Cluster Corporate Affairs teams to manage external stakeholders locally
  • Monitor and analyse the external environment across the region to track healthcare and advocacy trends
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to demonstrate impact of all Corporate Affairs programs and provide regular analysis

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Degree in journalism, political science or similar preferred; experience in communications, corporate affairs, marketing communications, including agency or pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Previous experience and good personal networks with media, policy and patient organisations across EU. Experience working with media, patient organisations and policy makers
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of healthcare communications, rare/specialty disease and pharmaceutical industry environment, with good contacts and networks across the community
  • Ability to manage consultants/agencies and work in a cross-matrix organisation, including working with affiliate teams as well as global teams, managing to deadlines and budgets
  • Has the competency, experience, and knowledge to effectively collaborate with key internal stakeholders to influence the direction of regional strategies
