It also manages existing programmes such as BIST To the Mothers of Science and the BIST Mentoring Programme.
The BIST is organized in permanent Commissions composed of representatives from each research center, and the BIST Core Team works in close collaboration with them to develop these lines of work.
This role involves close collaboration with the BIST Community to maintain and update training and professional development actions agreed with the HR Officers of the centers through the BIST People Commission.
The BIST Community Programs Manager reports directly to the BIST General Director and works with the BIST Core Team.
This position replaces the former Talent Office.
Requirements Professional experience Experience in similar positions is an advantage, but not a requirement.Responsibility in project management, preferably in an academic and/or scientific setting.The BIST community is strongly international, so experience in research and management in international environments is an asset.Education A university degree, preferably in sciences.
A postgraduate degree will be considered an advantage.Advanced level in English, Catalan, and Spanish.Personal competences Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Strong goal setting and time management skills to consistently meet objectives and deadlines.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Competent in meeting strict deadlines and working on several projects concurrently, with a proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude.Team player and ability to work independently.Capacity to effectively navigate and use a range of digital tools and platforms for communication, data collection, and collaboration.Candidates should share BIST's commitment to fostering diversity and excellence in science.
Working Conditions Contract: Permanent contract, full-time work (37.5 hours/week).
Salary: It will be commensurate with qualifications and pay scales.
Location: BIST offices (Travessera de les Corts, 131, Pavelló Central, Recinte Maternitat, 08028 Barcelona), with remote work opportunities.
Estimated incorporation date: January 2024.
