NoOffer DescriptionThe Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro announces a vacancy for a Senior Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory, with professional category of senior technician of the Professional Group IV for the scientific-technical area 2.The selected candidate will join the Lung Cancer Research Group of the Puerta de Hierro Health Research Institute, a consolidated team led by Dr. Mariano Provencio.

This group specializes in medical oncology, with a particular focus on lung cancer.

Its lines of research include both clinical and translational studies, highlighting the use of liquid biopsy for the analysis of circulating tumor DNA, which allows a minimally invasive monitoring of the disease.The direct supervisor of the new hire will be Dr. Roberto Serna Blasco, member of the Liquid Biopsy group.TASKS/FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:Reception, registration and storage of samples of the aforementioned project.Control of facilities (cleaning of hoods, recording of freezer temperatures -20 and -80) where the project is carried out.Preparation of basic solutions necessary for molecular biology.Extraction of nucleic acids and quantification of nucleic acid.Performance of different molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, dPCR.Preparation, visualization and interpretation of agarose gels.Making of libraries from DNA or RNA (cDNA) samples for NGS.Handling of sequencing equipment.Quality controls in the elaboration of SOPs, in the adequate fulfillment of the records, such as order management, evaluation of suppliers, etc.General responsibilities as necessary for the development of the project in accordance with the required qualification of senior laboratory technician.Where to applyE-mail ****** Field Biological sciences » OtherEducation Level UndergraduateSpecific RequirementsThe following requirements are established for laboratory technician positions to improve access to employment for young individuals under 30 years old:No Prior Employment with the Hiring Institution: Applicants must not be employed by the institution offering the position on the date of publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid.Required Qualification: Candidates must hold the required qualification at the time of hiring by the beneficiary entity
