THE ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Head of Retail to oversee and optimize the operational processes that support our retail stores. This individual will ensure smooth coordination between store teams, Area Managers, and headquarters, acting as a central point of contact for logistics, stakeholder management, and operational efficiency.
This role is integral to ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services to our customers and offers a clear growth path to a managerial position as the company expands its operations.
YOUR CHALLENGE
- Performance Metrics & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and report on store and operational data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Create consistent reporting frameworks to provide actionable insights for Area Managers and leadership.
- Develop, manage and report the global retail budget, ensuring profitability across locations.
- Support for Store Teams:
- Work closely with Area Managers and Store Teams to provide hands-on support and resources for achieving sales goals.
- Lead initiatives to address in-store challenges, optimizing workflows and enhancing team efficiency.
- Operational Excellence & Process Standardization:
- Develop, refine, and standardize store operational processes, including customer service protocols, visual merchandising, team incentives strategies and others to ensure consistency and efficiency across all locations.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance store-level and cross-functional operations.
- Logistics & Supply Chain Oversight:
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations to coordinate all logistics related to product delivery, ensuring timely and accurate shipments to stores.
- Oversee along finance all the intercompany invoicing and ensure alignment with financial processes.
- Monitor and control the sell-to-cash process, including returns and credits, coordinating closely with finance, customer service, and supply chain teams.
- Actively engage with stakeholders to address and resolve delivery-related challenges.
- Tools & Systems Management:
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of retail tools and systems (e.g., POS, stock management, CRM, Clienteling Software).
- Provide training and ongoing support to ensure effective utilization by store teams.
- Cross-Department Coordination:
- Act as a bridge between stores and headquarters departments (assortment and allocation, customer service, IT, projects, finance, HR), ensuring retail needs are clearly communicated and prioritized.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to drive solutions for operational challenges.
- Scalability & Growth Planning:
- Develop frameworks for scaling operations, including processes for new store openings and long-term resource planning.Identify automation opportunities and long-term improvements to drive operational efficiency.
- Experience: 5+ years in retail operations, 3+ in leadership, ideally in fashion or lifestyle.
- Leadership: Strong team management and scaling experience.
- Customer Focus: Skilled in enhancing shopping experiences and driving loyalty.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in sales data, KPIs, and budget management.
- Omnichannel Expertise: Experience integrating online and offline strategies.
- Operations: Knowledge of retail processes, inventory management, and SOPs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
