🟣 CONTEXT
We're launching a new business unit within HADRENA, a leading entertainment company in France specializing in escape games, VR adventures, and more.
Backed by a top-tier private equity fund, HADRENA manages hundreds of Points of Sale (PoS) and employs over 2,000 people across Europe and the U.S. This new brand will focus on the rapidly expanding immersive exhibition market (€30BN by 2030).

🟣JOB SUMMARY
As the General Manager, you will have the exciting responsibility of launching and overseeing the operations of our new exhibition centre in Barcelona. By providing exceptional customer experiences and optimising operational efficiency, you will play a pivotal role in delivering unforgettable moments of joy and excitement to our visitors.
🟣RESPONSABILITIES
👉🏼 Facility setup and readiness
- Oversee the setup and preparation of the premises of our first centre in Spain, located in Barcelona
- Ensure that all equipment of the welcome area and exhibition area is properly installed, operational and maintained
- Conduct regular and thorough testing of the exhibition content, to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction
- Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to address any issues or improvements before and after the launch
👉🏼 Operational leadership
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure smooth operations and optimise the customer journey
- Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, resource allocation and stock monitoring.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality throughout the centre
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to promptly address any technical issues or repairs
- Ensure seasonal decoration of the welcome area/shop
- Ensure constant provision of the shop and snacks up to display requirements defined in advance by HQ
👉🏼 Performance analysis and reporting
- Monitor key performance indicators to assess the centre's performance and identify growth opportunities
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational metrics and financial performance, find areas for improvement and propose ways to perfect them
- Collect and analyse visitors’ feedback, assess the success of the exhibition and identify suboptimal sections of the experience
- Collaborate with HQ team to develop strategies based on performance analysis
- Ensure efficient and friendly customer service across the entirety of the customer journey
👉🏼 Marketing and promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and content for events
- Ensure that events are effectively marketed and attract the desired audience.
- Be a rooted member of the local community of businesses, to promote our content and spread the good word about the quality of the experience on offer
- Own the credentials and monitor the performance of the site’s Social Media pages (TikTok, Instagram, Google…). Monitor the flow of comments and the posting frequency. Propose ways to improve their performance
👉🏼 Team creation and management
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of driven collaborators (20 employees - 10 FTEs)
- Provide coaching and development support to improve the team's skills and performance
- Perform recurrent performance reviews with all team members to help them improve and achieve their goals
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, share updates, and give perspective and vision to the entire team
- Organise team building events to tighten relationships within the staff and generate excitement and sense of belonging
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity
🟣 REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in event management, hospitality, entertainment, food services or related industries
- Taste for management and making a team happy and thriving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Analytical mind with a taste for making a venue run optimally
