We are looking to hire a Product Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Strategy and Procurement, you’ll lead and manage our product portfolio in Greece, Croatia, and Portugal, as well as expand into other areas in the future as per company guidelines and goals. The Product Manager is responsible for contract negotiation, product sales training, strategy, and day-to-day management of the destination.

What you’ll do:

  • The main responsibilities include ownership over destination knowledge, product procurement, procurement cost, product portfolio breadth and depth, and general development and management of the destination.
  • The Product Manager needs to be analytically driven and can interpret data to initiate and lead product procurement efforts for Europe Express. The goal is to improve existing product portfolios and introduce new products by ensuring a strong brand fit and business needs. Have a growth mindset and continuously look for ways to improve products for our travelers.
  • Strategically and ambitiously contract terms and costs to ensure price competitiveness for hotels, transportation, sightseeing, DMC services, and/or other travel-related suppliers as appropriate.
  • Strong local destination knowledge and understanding of trends and what is appealing to the North American market.
  • Optimize and expand the commercial benefit of travel-related suppliers through channel management platforms.
  • Supervise product performance over time through data and reporting to make informed decisions about procurement and improvements to the product portfolio.
  • Handle and maintain vendor relationships including (where applicable) vendor performance management and service level agreements, override agreements, and concessions to promote contracted products to travel advisors on familiarization trips.
  • The Product Manager needs to take ownership to develop and optimally train the reservations team and product support team about the destination product portfolio. The training needs to include in-depth knowledge about products to increase product sellability.
  • Resolve complex or conflicting issues with suppliers independently.
  • Conduct quality assurance and health and safety assessments in line with company guidelines and other relevant regulations as stipulated by the destination or Health and Safety Manager.
  • Collaborate with Sales to align product procurement in destination to align with industry trends and tendencies that correspond to brand fit and business need.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in the travel industry; experience with product management, contracting, and pricing required.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in travel, business administration, marketing, or equivalent
  • Proficient (C-1 or higher level) in spoken and written English. Spanish and other languages are a plus.
  • Advanced data analysis skills with a proven track record of working through the development of complex business solutions.
  • Familiarity with working in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and a data warehouse.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.
