The figure, placed in the Financial Department reporting to the Accounting Responsible and Financial Manager, will manage all the accounting functions.

Specifically, the position will involve the following activities:

• Manage all accounting functions within the company.
• Manage all the month-end close and financial reporting.
• Ensure month end and year-end closings are reliable and performed within required deadlines (IFRS and each Local accounting standards and Portugal GAAP will be a plus)
• Coordination with external consultants for fiscal declarations and needs.
• Assist auditors.
• Preparation of yearly Financial Statements.
• Participate in the accounting reporting process with consolidation team for the periodic closing
• Manage specific internal control environment cycles and managing internal control.
• Ad hoc projects and assignments.
• Journal entries and accruals.
• Intercompany control.
• Assets and depreciation registration.

The ideal candidate has the following skills:

• Bachelor in Business Administration, Economics or similar.
• Superior communication skills in English , both spoken and written, to effectively address and influence all levels within the organization. Portuguese or Italian will be consider a plus.
• SAP knowledge
• Proficiency Excel level
• Retail accountancy experience (desirable).
• Good organizational and planning skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands.
