In the Marketing & Communications department for Southern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, we are actively involved in shaping the narrative around the future of energy systems in our region. Our target is to show how challenging climate targets can become tangible realities, highlighting Vestas' distinct value proposition as a driving force in this transition. We are a diligent and creative team, constantly exploring innovative ways to inspire and engage stakeholders on the journey toward a sustainable future.
Responsibilities
- Design and carry out press and media strategies to enhance brand visibility and elevate the company's reputation across the Southern Europe, Africa, and Middle East region.
- Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, building and maintaining reliable relationships with journalists, editors, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate crisis communication efforts, developing strategic responses to safeguard and uphold the company's public image during stressful situations.
- Draft and distribute high-quality press releases, public statements, and briefing materials tailored to diverse audiences and media outlets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all communication platforms.
- Plan and oversee media training programs, equipping company spokespersons with the skills to efficiently represent the organization in public and media engagements.
- Fluency in English. The English level needs to be very high or native, written and spoken.
- Speaking Spanish, French or Italian would be beneficial.
- Experience in press relations, specifically within the renewable energy or manufacturing sectors.
- In-depth understanding of media dynamics and public relations principles, with the capacity to build media relationships.
- Ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Crisis Management: Skilled in navigating stressful situations with sound judgment and effective problem-solving to protect the company's reputation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including media professionals, internal teams, and external partners.
- Versatility: Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and capable of adjusting strategies to meet shifting priorities and regional dynamics.
- Creativity and Innovation: Crafting compelling narratives and identifying fresh opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and consistency in all written and verbal communications.
- Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with teams to deliver aligned and effective messaging.
