What You’ll Do

• Design and implement highly stylized real-time visual effects that enhance our gameplay, characters, cinematics, and storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and animators to maintain a cohesive artistic vision.
• Utilize particle systems, shaders, and post-processing techniques to create stunning, dynamic effects.
• Optimize VFX assets for performance, memory, and scalability across multiple platforms.
• Work within Unreal Engine proprietary tools to develop in-game and cinematic effects.
• Solve technical, real-time VFX challenges and work with engineers to improve pipelines.
• Stay up to date with new tools, techniques and industry trends to push the boundaries of stylized effects.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• A strong artistic vision for stylized VFX, motion, color, and composition.
• Proficiency with modern real-time engines (Unreal Engine 4/5, Unity)
• Shader authoring skills (node-based material editors, HLSL, GLSL, etc.).
• Experience with stylized, hand-painted effects that fit a unique artistic direction.
• A strong grasp of timing, anticipation, and fluid motion in effects work.
• Ability to prototype rapidly and iterate based on feedback.
• Technical problem-solving skills, with an understanding of performance optimization.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to adapt to a team-oriented environment.
• A portfolio or demo reel showcasing stylized real-time VFX work in a game engine.
