Ecolab has an opening for a Procurement Trainee - Project Management for our Procurement function located in Barcelona. The primary objective of this internship is to assist our Procurement PMO in a varied portfolio of innovation, business continuity and supply assurance projects. Typically reporting to the Project Lead.

What will you do?

  • Assist to create a logical plan, realistic estimates and schedule for an activity or project segment, coordinate, and direct completion.
  • Assess the risk associated with the process and the respective mitigation plan for each risk identified.
  • Proactively propose process improvement ideas which can reduce time, cost, improved accuracy or enhance controls.
  • Identify opportunities for loss elimination across inbound process.
  • Ensure that progress, issues and agreements are properly documented and acted upon.
  • Effectively communicate results, and metrics to leadership/stakeholders as required.

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience to include:

  • Student or recent graduate of a bachelor’s degree/master’s in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial), Supply Chain or related studies.
  • Ability to understand complex issues in a comprehensible way and to communicate to a wide circle of customers.
  • Proactivity and ownership are critical to ensure proper traction of the projects.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Additional Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge with MS Office Tools.
  • Knowledge in GEP.
  • Experience in Supply Chain / Procurement / Project Management is a plus.
  • Most of all, looking for people with a real passion for learning and willing to grow.
