The opportunity ✨

An exciting opportunity to join our Spain Marketing Team, leading on all Non-Air Partner communications to the Club Iberia Plus membership.

This is a TTL role with wide scope for all aspects of loyalty communications and an opportunity to super charge our results in a growth market. Overseeing a delivery team you will be responsible for the day to day running and management of the team and its output.

What you’ll get up to 🌠

Managing a team of marketing executives, this role holds responsibility for the overall strategy and delivery of the marketing plan for all customer facing marketing for Iberia Plus and Vueling Club.

You will be overseeing the development of the member bases from acquisition through to high engagement through the use of full funnel marketing plans. This includes awareness of both the Airline programmes and our Avios currency (and the relationship between the two), through to highly personalised lifecycle segment journeys and trigger communications using sophisticated data and communications planning techniques and personalisation.

You will need to identify opportunities for growth for airline programmes and Avios by joining multiple data sources, capabilities, and insights to drive commercial advantage and develop the tools and capabilities which enable us to hit our customer targets, including personalisation techniques and technology.

Day To Day

  • Oversee the delivery of both compelling NAP and lifecycle multi-channel direct campaigns and communications.
  • Ensure smooth briefing and traffic processes and ensure best media agnostic media plan according to overall strategy and targeting/Audience requirements.
  • Effectively manage internal stakeholders, partners and external agencies to ensure campaigns are managed on brief, on time and on budget with campaign targets and measurement in place.
  • Role model curiosity by the inclusion of a comprehensive test and learn strategy within your team to optimise future activity.
  • Work with the Transformation Team to understand latest strategy, tools and methodologies. This includes but is not exclusive to control cells, A/B testing, subject line testing, creative and media testing; behavioural economics principles and engagement technology such as Moveable Ink.

Transforming our delivery: There is a large opportunity to optimise our CRM activity for both IberiaPlus and VuelingClub using the tools and expertise that are available through Data, and personalisation. By working with our Transformation team, you will lead the ongoing development of these process, tools, capability and Marketing technology in Spain and you will help unlock current hidden value in our loyalty programmes.

FP Planning: Lead regional planning and, taking direction from the overall strategy and Transformation Plan, guide your team to create both detailed Non Air Partner campaign plans designed by audience including channel and media recommendations and also deliver a comprehensive Loyalty Lifecycle plan to engage our members throughout their membership journey. Such plans should deliver against partner and IAG Loyalty objectives and KPIs and deliver increasing revenues to the wider group.

Stakeholder Management & Liaison: Create and maintain strong and lasting relationships with our Commercial Team in Spain, supporting them and understanding partner needs and requirements and turning those objectives into marketing requirements. This will include some liaison with partners themselves and attending status meetings and strategic reviews as required.

Lead the way in fostering great working relationships with our airline teams, understand their business and challenges as well as the opportunities. We work hand in hand with the airlines to drive the best customer experience within the programmes.

What will I need in order to be successful?

  • Be an experienced TTL marketeer with proven experience in one to one marketing.
  • Gravitas to operate within a complex network of senior stakeholders internally and across airlines to build mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Comfortable in working across multiple complex propositions, channels and markets with significant experience of working with data, data models and segmentations.
  • A strong leader with proven expertise in coaching and growing talented individuals to create a high performing team
  • Ablility to operate in a multi-lingual environment (English / Spanish)
