With the mission of providing affordable and world
class social media services, Social Minds is looking for a creative, strategic and
responsible motion graphic designer on a part time freelance basis. (10h per week to start and with the proportional compensation.)
This role can grow into fulltime very fast or immedeately.
This is a hands-on practical and executional role that demands a person that is
hungry to grow a small company together with a tight and fun team. Owning your
responsibilities and taking your own initiatives is key for this role.
This is a content editor role so understanding the technical side of content
production is key here. The most of your time will be spent editing content so
having access to a fast and stabil computer is very important.
You will be working closely with a team of social media managers who have direct
client ownership and contact. Together you will develop ideas and content pieces
which will be executed on a daily base by you.
Attention to details and being organized is also incredibly important for this role to
be able to be efficient.
We are a remote-first company and our team is spread out within two time zones
of Barcelona. We work with companies of all sizes all over the world.


Tasks
• Scripting, ideation and planning content pieces for all major social media
platforms, such as but not limited to: Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, LinkedIn,
Pinterest, X…
• Conceptualize and plan video projects from start to finish
• Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practises in video production
• Content creation, editing all types of content formats (editing videos with
motion graphics, GIF, animations, and graphic design for social media)
with tools like Adobe Suite After Effects.
• Weekly team calls, sometimes with clients, support in creating editorial plans,
ideation of content concepts and producing content.


Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Social Media Content
creation.
• Strong expertise in developing and editing content across
various social media platforms such as Youtube LinkedIn, Instagram,
TikTok, Facebook e.t.c.
• For this position we expect the starting hours to be 10h per week. In that time we expect delivery of 2' 30sec-1min videos per week.
• Practical experience and a portfolio in social media are crucial - we will ask
to see MI content created by you.
• Proactive profile with a creative mindset. You need to come up with scripts
and new ideas to activate campaigns
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, additional languages
are a plus
• A diverse skill set and solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and timing in video editing.
• Experience working with motion graphics templates and 3D files within
Adobe After Effects.
• Comfortable with Google Drive
• Creativity coupled with a strategic mindset.
• Strong understanding of AI tools such as Kling or Adobe Firefly.
