As Acquera Yachting continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant at our Barcelona office.

Role:

As an Accountant in a maritime agency, you will manage the all the accounting process, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company procedures. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in an international environment strictly connected with our corporate structure.

Responsibilities:

• Managing income and expenditure accounts
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledger
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Completing analysis of the employee expenditures, recording salaries and contributions
• Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial report, collaborating with Group CFO and Country Manager
• Keeping a close eye on external consultants to ensure the accurate preparation of the monthly VAT file before sending it off to the tax advisor
• Updating of the accounting archives
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the Group

Requirements:

• Solid experience in Spanish accounting practices
• Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)
• Commitment to confidentiality, with a flexible and proactive approach
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ambitious, performance-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
