In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Identifying New Opportunities: You’ll pinpoint new business prospects within specific product segments, markets, regions, or channels, driving growth and expansion.
- Collaborative Strategy Development: By working closely with Marketing and Sales teams, you’ll help identify and prioritize attractive market segments and product lines to pursue.
- Data-Driven Insights: Your ability to gather and analyse market data will support the identification and prioritization of opportunities, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Market Understanding: Attending industry and customer activities will enhance your understanding of the market, helping you identify specific local business opportunities and target accounts.
- Customer Research and Relationship Building: Conducting thorough research on target accounts will enable you to understand their challenges and needs, fostering strong business relationships.
- Supporting Sales Efforts: You’ll develop and support account plans, new business proposals, and may even negotiate and close new sales, ensuring a smooth hand-off to Account Managers.
- Trend Communication: By communicating emerging customer needs and market trends to the Business Development Manager, you’ll help shape the overall sales strategy.
- Mentorship and Development: Your role in mentoring and motivating less experienced team members will contribute to a stronger, more capable sales and account team.
Education/ Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, technical or a related subject required, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

- Strategic Thinking and Market Knowledge: The ability to see the bigger picture, set aims and objectives, and leverage your knowledge of the market to identify growth opportunities and new business prospects.
- Collaboration and Communication Skills: Strong skills in working with cross-functional teams, including design, project management, and technical sales support, to determine the best value for customers and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Customer Relationship Management: The capability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions, while also developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects.
- Sales and Negotiation Expertise: Proficiency in preparing and delivering compelling sales proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing sales deals, while ensuring compliance with company and country guidelines and legislation.
