Position Overview: The Managed Services team is seeking an Entry-Level Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for learning and growing in cloud computing and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, AWS, Azure, OpenStack). This role is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in IT infrastructure, working alongside and learning from experienced professionals.
Due to the critical nature of the infrastructure and network, the team operates a day/night/weekend shift rotation to provide 24/7/365 support. This is a 100% remote position. Only candidates residing in Spain with a valid work permit will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to incident resolution, service requests, and reporting
- Participate in regular training on current and emerging technologies
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, identifying opportunities for efficiency and service improvements
- Perform cluster updates and patching
- Assist in all aspects of Change Management
- Take the initiative and lead project work
- Enhance documentation and refine processes
- Identify trends in daily checklists and reports
- Support the team in evolving with industry advancements
- This is an entry-level position that requires little to no prior experience. The technologies listed below are considered 'nice-to-haves' and basic knowledge of them is beneficial, but no previous experience is required:
- OpenShift, Kubernetes
- CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Sonarqube
- Tooling and Automation: Ansible, Bash, Python/Perl/Shell scripting
- Cloud: Azure, AWS, OpenStack
- Monitoring/Logging: Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana
- Background as Technical Support or Site Reliability
- Good English communication skills, verbal and written.
- 1-2 years of experience related to software development or networking and infrastructure is preferable but not mandatory
- Ability to work within a team, good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Nice to have an understanding of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Computing
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proactive in identifying risks and improvement opportunities
- Great English communication skills and willingness to learn
