Ryanair Labs is the technology brand of Ryanair, a start-up inside a corporation and a state of-the-art digital & IT innovation hub creating Europe’s Leading Travel Experience for customers. More than 600+ IT enthusiasts are working on 30+ projects with a collaboration of our Dublin, Madrid, Wroclaw and Portugal Labs teams and are making your travel experience unique. The Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a multi-disciplinary team tackling complex, unsolved challenges with the potential for real business impact across the Ryanair network. You will own your work from ideation and problem definition to final implementation, driving solutions for high-impact commercial projects.

Requirements

• Relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.).
• Proven problem solver – the ability to come up with unique solutions to unique problems.
• Professional experience in working with large data sets.
• Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of analytical packages (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn etc.) and SQL.
• Strong statistical background – Ability to back claims in your findings with rigorous statistical analysis.
• Following good coding practises (OOP, code review, unit testing, PEP8 guidelines etc.).
• At least basic knowledge of code versioning systems (e.g. Git) and DevOps tools (e.g. Docker, CI/CD).
• Broad knowledge of Machine Learning topics (clustering, forecasting, classification, regression, anomaly detection).
• Experiment design knowledge – Ability to set up an experiment to measure the impact of your models against company goals.
• Proven track record of being able to deliver insight with the ability to visualize and explain a model to a target audience.
• Experience implementing real-world projects in commercial area.
• Fluent in English
