Coordinator at Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at IESE Business School

- Within IESE, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center creates a positive impact through thought leadership and curated networks - supporting entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors. It includes the WeStart and WeGrow mentoring for students/alumni founders, Technology Transfer Group, International Search Funds Institute, Scaleup Institute, Open Innovation Institute, Business Angels Network, and more.
- Around 70% (operations and community) - organize the logistics of our Business Angels events, and support our community of entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Around 30% (analysis) - study and review initiatives related to startups looking for early-stage financing.
- Operations and community:
- Organize and execute ‘Investment Forum’ events and other entrepreneurship gatherings: coordination, logistics, attendee registration, mailing, landings, requests for services (e.g., catering, hostesses, technicians, rooms, etc.), to name a few.
- Management of the network proceedings: onboarding meetings, de/registration, resolution of doubts, etc.
- Organization of meetings between investors and entrepreneurs.
- Support marketing, communications, and promotion strategies for events, applied research, and bootcamps to increase visibility.
- Build and maintain relationships with IESE Business Angels Network stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders.
- Support of entrepreneurs. Active search of new investors.
- Active search for investment opportunities (national and international).
- Analysis of investment opportunities. Participation in the filtering and selection of startups for investment forums. Manage startups application processes. Verification of the start-up documentation before its participation. Maintenance of the project analysis platform.
- Providing support in related tasks to studies and internal applied research: surveys, interviews, writing, qualitative analysis (maybe some quantitative), writing, proofreading, and design of presentations.
- A professional working environment, stimulating activities towards societal impact and learning - in a city that is often ranked as one of the most attractive European cities to live in.
- Full-time position (temporary).
- Start date: the sooner, the better.
- Where: Barcelona Campus (presential).
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Native Spanish. Fluent English in both speaking and writing. Catalan is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree. Master is a plus.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Problem-solving skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach, committed, positive, mentorable, and flexible.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with marketing, communications, or content creation (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot).
- Strong experience organizing events. Previous experience at IESE is a plus.
- Highly trusted person who works towards excellence and spirit of service, who can easily work with other team members.
- Orientation to detail, especially in proofreading and writing.
- Demonstrated experience in the entrepreneurship ecosystem: e.g., venture capital, private incubator, corporate venturing, business consulting, etc.
- Small experience in corporate settings and the ability to support high-level meetings with investors, entrepreneurs, mentors, and other key stakeholders.
- Advanced office skills, especially with Excel (e.g., pivot tables), Word, and Power Point.
- Structure thinking, synthesis, and planning.
- Availability to travel (punctually), if needed.
- Work-permit for Spain (NIE, etc.).
