JOIN THE TEAM

We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong background in the Salesforce Ecosystem, with special focus in Salesforce Service Cloud capabilities. In this role, you will play a critical role in also advancing our AI initiatives by configuring and developing robust, secure, scalable, and efficient large scale AI solutions, preferably using out of the box services of the continuous growing Salesforce AI features and capabilities. Within the "Customer Success Platform" build on Salesforce the Customer Service Teams will now be onboarded to achieve an even wider "Customer 360" view with all the needed capabilities of the Customer Service Role now and in the future. The role needs to be transformed and made ready for the future. A transformation will be started with different technology stacks and different skills and responsibilities in future compared to today. With this role you can actively shape and design the process and help to make Customer Service at BASF ready for the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and Development:
- Develop and customize Salesforce Service Cloud solutions to streamline customer service processes.
- Create and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components.
- Implement and manage Service Cloud features such as Case Management, Knowledge Base, and Service Console.

- Integration:
- Integrate Salesforce Service Cloud with external systems and APIs to ensure seamless data flow and enhance service capabilities
- Work with middleware tools to facilitate data synchronization and process automation between systems.

- Analysis and Troubleshooting: - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce Service Cloud functionality and performance.

- Collaboration: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, Project Managers, Architects, and QA Engineers, to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members
- Sharing your knowledge and expertise with colleagues and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence within the organization

MORE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Testing and Deployment: - Conduct unit testing and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality
- Manage deployment processes using Copado to deploy user stories to different system instances

- Documentation: - Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions, including architecture diagrams in collaboration with Product and Platform Architects, user guides, and API documentation.
- Document coding standards and best practices for the development team.

- Continuous Improvement: - Stay current with Salesforce Ecosystem and specifically Service Cloud updates, features, and industry best practices as well as the growing feature-set of AI features of Salesforce
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to optimize service delivery.
- Guide junior team members with existing AI capabilities from Salesforce and how to effectively and efficiently embed those in our digital solutions, while in parallel continuously stay up to date with fast growing AI capabilities delivered by Salesforce.

- Team Development: Contribute to the growth and skill enhancement of the development team through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation that enhances team understanding and serves as a reference for future development efforts

This role requires a strong technical background in Salesforce development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Developer will play a vital role in leveraging Salesforce Service Cloud technology to transform customer service operations and drive business success.

REQUIREMENTS

- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Work experience:
- Minimum 3+ years
- You have already gained professional experience in an IT environment and worked with Salesforce Ecosystems
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Salesforce, optional for Microservice experience also Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Machine Learning

- Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)
- At least 5+ years´ experience in DevOps
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the desire to drive innovation
- Continuous learning to keep up with the rapid technological developments in the field.
- Proficient experience in developing and configuring Salesforce Einstein Features (ML based and/or AI based)
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

- Nice to have: - Proven history of successful projects in Salesforce Ecosystems, preferably in manufacturing industry and by using Service Cloud capabilities
- Relevant certifications, such as Salesforce Architect, Integration Architecture Designer, AI Associate.
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Microsoft, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with AI ethics and responsible AI practices
- Consulting and customizing experience in SAP-ERP (Sales, Marketing & Service), Interfaces, Web or Cloud Solutions
- Solid experience with script languages like Bash or Python
