We are looking for a candidate who will be involved in a project called @WomenUp, a technology that combines a medical device and eHealth Solution to enhance pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation in Female Urine Incontinence remotely. The Medical Device is composed of a vaginal probe and an abdominal belt that measures the electric impulse of the pelvic floor muscles and the abdominal region to provide biofeedback to patients. Both medical subunits communicate with the patient's cell phone to provide data to control a serious game character. The game character is part of the rehabilitation therapy that uses gamification to improve program adherence and motivate the patients not to drop the therapy. The information gathered by the probe, belt, and game is transferred to a platform where the clinicians will follow the patient’s progress and adjust/modify the rehabilitation therapy improving the overall therapeutic outcome.

• Develop multi-platform applications related to web services as tools for self-control of lifestyle and physical and sports activities

Functions to be developed

• Design the functional structure of the system, including multi-platform applications for mobile devices, sensors, and connections with wearables, server databases, and web services to facilitate the information produced.
• Develop functional prototypes of mobile and smartwatch applications in iOS, watchOS, and Android environments to collect data.
• Develop web services and a database to store the data captured by mobile devices and facilitate the elaboration and interpretation of the results.
• Validate the correct operation of the different elements.
• Maintain the entire system.

Qualifications

Profile

• Degree in computer engineering or similar.

Knowledge

• Mobile app development
• Experience in one of the following languages: PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3

Languages

• Catalan, Spanish, and English spoken, read, and written.

Technical Skills

• Multiplatform applications (iOS, watchOS, Android).
• Database programming (SQL).
• Programming in HMTL, CSS.

Organizational Skills

• Work in multidisciplinary teams.

Functional Skills

• Ability to work in a group.
• Oral and written communication skills

Professional Experience

• In the design of backend infrastructures and databases.
• In the development of applications for iOS, watchOS, and Android.
• Experience in functions similar to those described will be valued, specifically in developing research activities in the university and industrial environment.
