This is why we are currently looking for a Food Ingredients/Food supplements Sales & Technical Manager, that with their entrepreneurial approach and hands-on attitude will contribute to the development of the business.
What are we looking for?
A results-driven, target-oriented Food Ingredients/Food supplements - Sales & Technical Manager, with a significant experience in sales, particularly in the food/nutraceuticals raw materials sector. Technical background in Food Science area is a plus.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation, to negotiation and deals’ closing.
Your background:
- Proven sales experience in the chemical raw materials or food industry, preferably with a successful track record in B2B sales. Knowledge of the food supply chain and its specific requirements is beneficial;
- In-depth knowledge of chemical raw materials used in the food industry, including hydrocolloids. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards is a significant advantage;
- Technical understanding of the chemical composition, properties, and applications of the products you distribute. The ability to discuss product specifications, quality standards, and usage with customers is essential and a bachelor's or master's degree in food science, or a related technical discipline is a plus;
Your skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and explain the technical aspects of your products;
- Ability in relationship-building to establish and maintain long-term partnerships with clients;
· Proficiency in sales techniques, such as prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
- A problem-solving mindset to address technical challenges and find solutions for customers. This includes troubleshooting product issues and proposing improvements;
· Up-to-date knowledge of the Spanish food industry market, including trends, competitors and potential customers, to identify new opportunities and adapt to market changes;
- The flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and new products.
- Fluency in Spanish. Proficiency in English is often necessary for international business interactions and for internal communication with all colleagues in the Faravelli Group.
